Even though I specifically asked Mozart to give us his selections for the WC squad - he poitedly refused to do it - preferringto criticize the playershe does not like.    In th meantime he gave a list of 8 key players that he said must e the core of the team.

He went further and stated that we lost domination up front - but when asked about why - he kept deadly silence.   GHe also said we need an inside center that can be physically dominant - but when asked who - he again kept quiet.

But lets see how far we are with Mozart.s squad selectionss:-

Outsid Backs  -  5 players   -    Bryan Habana

                                                      JP Pietrsen

Centers          -  3 players   -

Flyhalfs          -  3 players    -   Handre Pollard

Scrummies      -  3 players   -   Fourie du Preez

Loosies           -  5 players    -  Duane Vermeulen

                                                      Schalk Burger

Locks              -   4 players  -   Eben Etzebeth

Props              -   6  players  -

Hookers          -    3 players  -   Adriaan  Strauss

His suggestion is to find 7 other players  to fill in teh team - but that isoviouslt problematic - since the match day squads are amde up if 23 players - so ie hvae to find -

*   Another 15 players to make up the match day squa; plus

*   Nothr 8 players to back up the seletions.

Of the 8 ke players he suggested Pietersen is oe.   However, Pietersen has been poor over the past two years- he lost pace and is at this stage too slow to play on thewing.   Another pronlem is that he is not a relaible tackler anymore - so he must be considered as a player who has a cloud over him.

Be it as it may - will members try abd fill up the missing players and see where we get with a squad of 31 players. .

Moffie was wanting Francois Pienaar to be his captain on this thread.

"Francois Pienaar was my horse in the race!"

LMAO!

I suspect the doddering old fool probably meant to say Francois Louw . . . which is almost as funny!

He could also have meant Francois HouGat, which in my opinion is even funnier.

Well now that Jean is gone I have a horrible feeling Steyn will be brought back to play at 12.

Dunno bout you guys but I'd much rather have an off form De Villiers than Francois ' Hand me my Jelly D oughnut" Steyn.

I will have better things to do than watch that team on TV playing in matches - it would be a disaser anyway.   If I was Willie and Vermeulen I would thank Meyer for the honour - but claim a pain somewhere you do not want one (which make toilet releif somewhatakward) - and stay at home.  Louw could probablyfind an excuse thathe has problems at home and stay out as well.  The rest will have enough players to bugger up the WC in any event  - even Bryce Lawrene will not be needed to ensure early departure.
