In the game last week Smith gave away 3  penalties against the Sharks.   Today against the Force he gave away 2.
There could be a number opf reasons for giving away penalties:-
*    Does he realize he is not competitive anymor - so he will use all means - legal or not i  to prove otherwise.
*    Is he too slow at breakdowns and as a result transgressing when the ruck was already formed?

30 metres in 9 carries seems to destroy your argument.....he also made the most tackles for the Reds while missing none. Next?

 Mozart
Can you read?   This is about his tendency to give away penalties - nothing else.   Escape artistry won't help.
