Good points were made here by my friend JW and also by DA, Shezza, Bloo, Becs and of course by Deddy. On reflection you fellows are right. I was caught up in the tit for tat of my spats with Mike. This is a more important bit of information. It speaks to Mike's career and the obvious affection he enjoys in his community. It was small of me not to acknowledge this, and I apologize. Well done Mike and I hope you find as welcoming a scenario in Riversdale as the one you left in Natal.

I see this thread that was originally dedicated to ou Maaik and his achievements has somehow been turned into a "pat Moffie on the back" circle-jerk . . . all because the vitriolic and insecure old fossil finally conceded that he was behaving like a c%#t . . . despite being told so by more than one poster and after denying it several times while arguing vociferously for his right to denigrate and belittle ou Maaik.
The fact remains, the intention of the original posting (I assume) was to congratulate ou Maaik on his achievements and Moffie completely hijacked the thread with his own attention-seeking agenda. He's probably sitting there all smug and self-satisfied right now because you lot are now gushing all over him and everyone's forgotten about ou Maaik and the original post.

As I said all along, I think the article was lovely and Mike must be very proud of his achievements and his legacy.
