A long list of BS spreading in line with your normal prejudiced approach,   So I will be blunt - and start from the top. of his demented contribution,

The story about remaining as coach is totally distorted,   In the organization of SARU - the Director of Rugby is in charge of -

*   coaching of all the international teams - in other words the Springboks and the Sevens as well; and

*   promotion of rugby and player development in the country as a whole.

Erasmus was never appointed as Chief Coach of the Springboks - he was appointed as Director of Rugby,   He could not see a new Chief Coach appointed a month before the start of the 2018 tests and within a year before the RWC, so he took over the functions of the Chief Coach temporarily until after the WC.   If he is to act like the droll Drol wrote above - he would be a real BSter - which he is not.

He must be joking about using two extra-slow loosies against a speedy Japan team.   Meyer tried that in 2015 against a much weaker Japan team and used the slow-coaches and the Springboks lost in that game because of that and the dismal performances of the geriatrics.

Faf is a highly inaccurate ball kicker and his passing game against the AB's and in the other tests he played in was sub-par.   Reinach was much better in the Canada test than an y of the other two scrummies were in any of the other tests played.   In the Canada game his passing and kicking game was faultless.    

There is no talk about Steyn occupying the flyhalf position other than made up in that empty brain cavity of yours - his kicking game is clueless and his defense worse.   He is too slow to be effective in any game and the Canadians  just run through his perilously poor tackle attempts or ran around him.   Any quarterfinal team with Steyn and flyhalf or 12 loses games before they start the games.   Go and take your stupid pills and stop writing such drivel. 

His description of the Erasmus game plan is totally deluded and false as to be expected from a prejudiced dud.

In an article in News24 there is a discussion of the team and  they started of with the team that beat Japan on 6 September  and then went on to look at the team that played Italy as the potentiall team to be selected,

In the starting line-up they may basically use the Tight 5 in the latter game and that would mean the elimination of Mostert and switching some bench players to start and replace them with players who started against Japan.   

There is no difference in the starting backline players, but some hesitation about the bench backline replacements.   In the Itlian game they only had two backline replacements - Jantjies (scrummie) and Steyn,  I do not think that would be the case in the quarterfinals.   In the case of the Canada game Steyn made a total hash of defense making 4 tackles and missing 3 and he is pace-deficient as well.   The Japanese will run circles around him and I doubt very much that Erasmus would take a chance on that.

I also think that Erasmus does not have much faith in E Jantjies - so I would not be surprised to see Willemse and Nkosi as the backline subs.

By the way the report indicated that Louw has a swollen knee and there are possibly not going to play,  That may open the way for Kwagga to be on the bench.   Erasmus did have both Louw and Mostert on the bench in the Italy game - but neither was of much value when they came on in that game.      

Louw and Fransie make excellent bench players to come on in the death when we are under pressure...so would Brits be. We need cool heads and vast xp in such conditions. That's why Rassie took them to Japan. 

The only reason Malherbe is solid as a rock is, he is on his knees....as he was in most scrums against NZ. That said, Koch won't survive and Thomas is a loosehead and pretty marginal at that At tighthead he will leak penalties.

Our scrum, not against Japan, but against NZ or England is not superior. The only destructive scrummager is the Beast.

Yes, Wilco is our only real TH, but I suppose his size counted against him with the Jap conditions.  I would still have started him for the first 40 atleast.  He is still youngand fit...carries les lard than FM anyway.

Having said that, we we will still hold our own against all but the Poms (maybe)...they might have a slight advantage in the scrums.

        What a pity you moved to the UK, SA rugby needs you.

        With your vast knowledge of the game and players you could have worked wonders for the EP Queens.

       Relax fellow this is only a forum to connect with other rugby fans and air your thoughts and communicate with others on sport related issues not to hurl insults and foul language at everyone who airs their views that differ to yours.

       Appreciate your views and depth of knowledge on the game but let us keep to rugby, cricket and sport in general.

This is amazing - there is nothing said anything about Malherbe in either the newspaper report I referred  to - but in his normal way Shifty Schiff-Strzok opened up a new discussion on Malherbe,

I in fact referred to three players in the discussion of the article - Mostert, Louw. Elton Jantjies and  Steyn,   I did mention the failed defensive effort of Steyn in the Canada test and the danger it would be to have him in the team playing the much pacier Japanese,   Dead quiet on that because according to SS-S and co it did not happen.   It would destroy their argument for inclusion of  Steyn in the squad for the Japanese test,

The other comment was about Mostert who according to SS-S is he best line-out jumper in the squad?  They never answer the question about Mostert's failure in the line-outs in the RC test against the AB's and the fact that he was not used as line-out jumper in the subsequent Argentina test  and  WC AB test because of failure in the line-outs.   Quiet about that too - why?

Louw was worthless thus far in the WC matches he played in - but I did not refer to that - I referred to his swollen knee -- which may affect the team selection for Sunday.

Nice diversion tactic - but it does not work, SS-S.   By the way I rather believe Plumtree than you when he dealt with the Springbok forwards.  You lie about the scrumming in the AB tests as well - so how the hell can we believe you, you lie you bugger you lie.  LMAO

Agreed, the Boks should stick to the formula...not the time for experiments now....IMO It's not our best potential team, but it's close enough and fiddling with the team will disrupt more than it will improve...changes should be injuries only.
