All Black Squad

Loosehead props - Joe Moody, Wyatt Crockett, Reggie Goodes

Tighthead props - Owen Franks, Charlie Faumuina, Ofa Tu'ungafasi

Hooker - Dane Coles, Codie Taylor

Locks - Brodie Retallick, Sam Whitelock, Patrick Tuipulotu, Scott Barret

Looseforawrds - Matt Todd, Ardie Savea, Jerome Kaino, Kieran Read, Jordan Taufua, Liam Squire

Halfbacks - Aaron Smith, Mitchell Drummond

Flyhalves - Aaron Cruden, Beauden Barret, Lima Sopooaga

Centers - Malakai Fekitoa, Charlie Ngatai, Ryan Crotty

Outside backs - Ben Smith, Juliana Savea, Waisake Naholo, Israel Dagg

Tu'ungafasi was the inform loosehead when he was playing,...... I cannot understand some of Umaga's selections (as A. Ioane benched),..... now he's playing tighthead, usually from the bench

Scott Barret is the lock who's having more minutes in the saders' rotation,...... and rightly so, IMO, he's playing better than Whitelock and Romano

Todd is IMO the inform openside atm,...... last weekend he made 18 tackles an was in almost all the breakdowns,....... classic openside,..... and he's complememnting perfectly with Taufua,....... Savea is having a very good campaign also but the last matches his performances came down a bit,.......... both are IMO better than Cane

TJ is having a bad season,...... yeah, he gets some tries and is still dangerous ball in hand (not as dangerous as last year),..... but his decision making is not being the best,....... TKB is injured (dunno how long),....... Weber is also dangerous ball in hand but has to improve his passing big way,........ which leave us with the only option of Mitchell Drummond who's having an excellent campaign,,...... his pass could be as fast and accurate as A. Smith's and his distribution and decision making are being very good,...... and those are the main skills for the scrummie role,...... he won't be as dangerous ball in hand as TJ or Webber but he's very fast supporting other players

IMO is not Mckenzie's time yet,...... too many mistakes, specially ball losses, under pressure,........ last 2 matches against Sharks and landers lost the ball 5 and 6 times,....... not acceptable at test level,.......... too much lateral running also,..... but he's only 21 and one of the more promising NZ player,........ his time will come

for the first test:

All Blacks

1 joe moody, 2 dane coles, 3 owen franks

4 brodie retallick, 5 sam whitelock

6 Jordan Taufua, 8 kieran read (c), 7 ardie savea

9 aaron smith, 10 aaron cruden

12 Charlie Ngatai, 13 Ryan Crotty

11 julian savea, 14 Ben Smith  15 Israel Dagg ,

16 codie taylor, 17 wyatt crockett, 18 charlie faumuina, 19 patrick tuipulotu, 20 Matt Todd, 21 M. Drummond, 22 beauden barret, 23 malakai fekitoa

Jerome kaino is not going to play the next WC so I would begin testing other players,...... may be not in the first match but in the following 2

would wait to see the 3 remaining matches to choose the openside btwin Savea and Todd,....... Savea is slightly ahead but if Todd continues with the form showed the last games,.......

would follow Naholo's and Dagg's remaining games to choose who plays also

@basquefan,

my team was selected before the highlanders chiefs game on the weekend, and even though it was naholos comeback match after that injury at the beginning of the season, what i saw made me very very happy for both the landers and ABs.
its probably more prudent to watch the coming matches with naholo before making a call though, same with dagg as u said.

i wouldnt change my squad, but my team would be...

All Blacks

1 joe moody, 2 dane coles, 3 owen franks

4 brodie retallick, 5 sam whitelock

6 jerome kaino, 8 kieran read (c), 7 ardie savea

9 aaron smith, 10 aaron cruden

12 ryan crotty, 13 malakai fekitoa

11 julian savea, 15 ben smith, 14 waisale naholo

16 codie taylor, 17 wyatt crockett, 18 charlie faumuina, 19 patrick tuipulotu, 20 sam cane, 21 tarewa kerr barlow, 22 beauden barret, 23 charlie ngati

last i heard barlow was out for 6 weeks, which meant he would be back a week before the first test. it might not be enough time for him to get match fit for test 1, o tk might start instead.
barlow should be ready by test 2 though, fingers crossed cos TJ is in the 7th hokages bad book.
