I think this accusation of Mike Frasers refereeing could be justified but where this thing turned pear- shaped was when there was a generalising of all NZ refs as this is absurd. All refs have had their accusers due to human errors...cannot think of a single one that has got everything that nobody cannot criticise.
But the accusations attacking the NZ'ers for the lack of integrity carries no truck with me and the vast majority of informed and stable characters...it's a plain misrepresentation of facts and blatant cods wallop.
Fraser is just incompetent but not dishonest...why would the Jaguars who played the Chiefs in Argentina prior to the Stormers game be found in favour and beat the Chiefs quite convincingly?
If you take Mike Frasers record...one in particular was the game where he reffed ...Scotland versus Canada...red-carded a key player (Jebb Sinclair) when Canada had a chance of beating Scotland which would have been a huge milestone for Canadian rugby

It was early afternoon so was catching bits of the game and made a few comments from my phone. Anyhow, i did catch some of the scrum calls. Watched a highlights package last night and all they showed were the scrums where the Stormers got legit demolished.
No doubt the Chiefs have a strong scrum. No debating that at all. haha 170kg...of pure canned beef. What is concerning is the inconsistency in officiating. In this game there were some seriously dubious calls going against the Stormers at scrum time. Game changing calls. And it was noticed by more than just myself and Mike.
In light of what has transpired this season, how can we not discuss it?

...maybe SANZAR watched more than just the highlight package...the bigger issue i think is that NZ referees are now doing what SA referees have done for years and refereeing SA home games which has been the true strength of SA rugby, reffing their own games that is... so what you are witnessing is the house of cards yr rugby is built on collapsing around you....you'll just have to gin and bear it...see what i did there ...

I watched the game summary to try and get another look at the scrums which I did see live. But yeah, they only showed a couple.
Jackson's game against Bulls didn't see him struck from the roster the following week either. Nobody has yet offered evidence as to his game changing call being the correct one. In fact, all the evidence we have suggests the opposite.
When seeing the scrums in the Stormers game initially I did think there were some odd calls.

...i think SA should be alot happier with Fraser's refereeing this weekend as they are pretty much guaranteed a win...all the Chiefs ABs have flown home for a compulsory AB camp so it should be a complete walkover...i'm not sure i can even bear to watch...

...all the same have been looking at real estate in Northland to eventually escape the rat race ...so many awesome beaches up there so looking at somewhere like Helena Bay , Karikari, Taupo Bay. Matauri Bay. Taputupotu, Matapouri, Tutukaka...plenty to choose from......stayed up in Te Kao when i was younger and just very sold on the winterless north , not to mention the laid back lifestyle ... and besides it's been fished out around here...
...yeah am just waiting for all those numbers to line up on my lotto ticket...but like you say camping is so much fun so i could always just live out of an old combi van...all i need is my dog , my surf caster , a camping oven and i'll be sweet...that way i can fish the whole of Northland ...sounds like a plan..

Heres my recipe for quivering snipper .Take a gas cooker ,pan,butter salt and pepper on the boat [or beach] catch yer snappers and immediately dong em on the head cut fillets into strips straight into the butter in the pan about 20 seconds a side salt and pepper and straight down the gullet while still wriggling a wee bit ,Wash down with anything other than Waikato draught or " green death " as it is known to its fans [ or more correctly known as survivors ] .

I remember back in the 80s we used to fish off the bridge near east Hills Barracks over the Geoges river ,we caught several van loads of Vietnamese jagging undersized [ as in teeny tiny baby fishies ] fish to take home and mash into fish cakes .We tried to explain that if you kill off all the little ones you dont get any big 'uns but they couldnt be arsed .So we tipped out all their buckets back into the river and told them to err "please go home" I have seen them shoulder to shoulder on a beach like a human vacuum cleaner hoovering up EVERYTHING including seaweed and barnacles even dead bloody jellyfish .I think it was because they came from a country still recovering from war and a culture where everything needed to be used to the max.

Mr Draad paua is like abalone but taste better and have a brighter shell.Actually paua or abalone is just frickin yummy but high export prices and over exploitation have put them out of reach for most .

Abalone (we call them Perlemoen) used to be so thick and plentiful when as a youth in the Cape, the late seventies up to 1982...we were allowed 5 per diver and they were huge...at Castle Rock (Millers Point) near Simonstown it only took about less than 20 minutes in the water to get your quota.
We used to clean them thoroughly on the rocks cut trimming off the undesirable edges and removing their organs and scrubbing and rubbing them on the barnacle encrusted rocks to remove the slime.
Then we used a bread or meat slicer to cut thin slices which we pummeled with a serrated wooden mallet and hot fried them for only 1-2 minutes in butter, garlic and a drop of white wine.
Delicious stuff.
Now the coastline has been dessimated by crime syndicated mafia from the Far East...and today like Rhino horn it's being sold for astronomical prices to these ghastly and perverted markets. It's contraband in drug dealing and money-laundering.
