There is a really major problem in dealing with New Zealanders insofar as sport education is concerned - they simply would not listen to well-meant advice. Insofar as rugby is concerned they are much like the personal opinions about themselves the Australains and Yankees have. Not realizing that they are in many respects introverted - the latter two nations always believe sincerely that they are so good in all aspects of life that they cannot speak to highly of themselves. In the meantime the Yanks are probably the most introverted people in the world - surrveys previously indicated that 50% of the Yanks do not know the name of the nearest town from the one they are staying in and that only 10% of their populace ever had passports to travel outside of America - and that 10% includes members of the US Army.
Living on two remote islands in the Pacific - the people of New Zealand has a restricted view of the world in general. - but it is to their credit that they do make use of on-line media to augment their knowledge. Nice people in general - but they go into uncontrollable rage when anybody dare to say anything that they regard as negative comments on the All Blacks Rugby Team. Even the mildest suggestions that there are signs of deficiencies that needs to be considered to ensure that the All Blacks retain the Rugby Worls Cup in 2015 are met with howls of protest.
In essence I think that there are certain minor problems (minor at this stage - but it could become worse if not attended to) that needs to be borne iin mind. Those essentially relates to forward play. However, then came the Twickenham disaster - and insted of taking note of the ramifications as prviously dealt with - other excuses are identified and the real problem issues are swept under the carpet. My considered opinion is still - look carefully at some minor deficiencies in forward play and try and eliminate them before they get really problematic.
Now something not rugby-related where urgent advice is necessary - and that relates to the gentlemenly game of cricket. After all - there is the ancient saying that RUGBY IS A GAME FOR ROGUES PLAYED BY GENTLEMEN - CRICKET IS A GAME FOR GENTLEMEN PLAYED BY ROGUES.
Let me explain - instead of uppng theor perforances in all levels of cricket - they have serious infighting leading to the dropping of a capable captain in a most disgusting manner. No wonder they collapsed into a heap of shit last night in the Twenty-20 game against SA.. Scoring only 86 runs all out in 18,2 overs is really disgraceful. No wonder the South Africans reached that total in 12,1 overs with 8 wickets to spare.
This really is a new-look SA team with youngish players not normally playing for SA. I was particularly looking out at how the 19 year-old Quinton De Kock performs in his first game playing for the SA National squad. As a wicket keeper his performance in that Department was flawless and of high standard. He followed that up with an excllent batting display scoring 28 not out off just 23 balls. This little bugger - he physically looks like a smallish 16 year-old school boy - can really hit a cricket ball hard. After a few brilliant fours - it was interesting to see how the Black Caps scurry around to change their fielding positions in a desperate attmept to slow down the flow of runs from his bat. Read this in bold capital letters - THIS GUY IS A STAR IN THE MAKING THAT IN YEARS TO COME WOULD BE THE BEST WICKET KEEPER EVER IN THE GAME OF CRICKET. Gilchrist. Heany and Boucher were to date probably the best keepers who ever played the game of cricket - thiss one is going to be better.
