Not playing NZ teams is creating a false positive

So far our teams have done well playing the Jags, Devils and the weaker SA teams like the Bools and Kings. No AB teams. The only discernable change appears to be that the gap the Leins opened last year has closed.....with the Stormers, Sharks and even the Cheetahs very close. . But has the whole enterprize moved forward, or is this just deck chairs? The latter I'm afraid, there is little to feel positive about....no new players who really look ready to make a difference at international level. . And then we have the coaching, with the massive error of retaining Coetzee sucking the life out of any optimism. In the meantime the NH teams are getting the very best out of talent, with tough-minded professionalism in evidence. Watching the Irish/Welsh test was a treat, the pace and intensity at a level totally different from Super Rugby, which was comparable to NH tests a decade ago. . Super Rugby has gone horribly backwards and South African teams play in the basement of Super Rugby.

Your attack on the Lions is also seriously misplaced and you idea about players is always skewed by prejudice - so wait and see what happens later in the season.

The Bulls are without 5 key players and Pollard is yet to hit his straps. The SA sides have beaten the Aussie sides thus far so stop speaking nonsense Moz. The Sharks look better under du Preez, the Stormers have a Kiwi assistant on board and a new mindset under Fleck....the Lions under Ackerman and Swys will always be good. The Bulls will improve once their stars have recovered and Pollard finds form. But I do worry about their lack of a true tighthead. Poor Nyakane will have to stand firm. The loss of Marcel to France is huge. The Cheetahs with limited resources will always be handy under Franco. Super rugby has been far better than the 6N The SA sides were good last year and will be even better this year.

The Aussie sides look particularly weak this year.....we wont know much untiil we play the top NZ teams. My sense is the gap there hasn't narrowed. You for some reason which escapes me think it has....time will tell.

 I hate local derbies ,I would much rather watch our boys playing yours any day .I wonder how the Lions will fare in the finals after not having Kiwi teams to sharpen their claws on .

Its a joke of a contest. As for Super Rugby being better than the Six Nations,...only if you don't rate passion, commitment, physicality and suspense.

What is wrong with you and your above statement?   So there is deficient passion, commitment, passion and physicality in Super Rugby?   Since you do not watch most games - how do you arrive at that statement?      

The Kings turned Super Rugby into a quota tournament by forcing their way into the 15 team format. 
Following that, the competition was rigged to get more Australian and SA teams into the finals while   some teams would avoid New Zealand before finals

 Any measure of improvement has to be made against the very best and we all know that the very best are Kiwi teams.
Any other measure is just spek and boontjies.

With empty stadiums week in, week out one only has to look at the stadiums in England to understand the Super thing is tanking.........too many matches, only a few good teams, disinterest in all but a few contests. The Kings have to go. The next team is hard....but equitable.

 I guess the writing was on the wall a few years ago as NZ franchises struggled to put bums on seats.....Hell even the Wellington 7's was a burnout.
I think they need more than get rid of the Kings and the Force. Less is better....perhaps even go back to twelve teams.

 Stop talking sh!t - there were more spectators at games this year than last year.   The empty stadiums may be where teams are not up to standard but for the rest the Stadiums are fairly full at this stage.  
You are not watching most of the matches - so apparently you are at liberty to talk BS in capital letters.    
Nobody argues about the Kings being eliminated,   The other really poor teams are the Rebels and the Sunwolves - but their is a huge TV audience in Japan and the stadiums are full when they play home games - so that will ensure their retention.   
I think the argument is whether the number of teams involved should be reduced to 15 or 16.   NZ and Australia wants SA to lose two teams and Australia one - while SA wants 16 teams.   Who will win the argument?   Likely SA - who are the chief funders of the competition through TV rights.

Why make the qualities you mentioned above applicable to me - they all fit you like a glove.   S o keep your possessions to yourself - I do not need them.   

The AB's lost to Ireland in Chicago so if they played England after that it would make no difference in that context...in another context England would most likely have fallen to the All Blacks anyway...so bang goes their record...it's the luck of the draw.

Records are there to be broken...really they are nice but not the end of the world...everybody knows deep in their heart that the AB's are by far the best anyway and the bottom line that's all that really matters.

NZ sets the high standard and is the reason why the standard they set stretches their competitors challenges to play better.

I'm glad this happens because the game overall scores...they are the "staat makers" and probably will be for decades to come.

 But that would not create a false positive for the english international squad, their record is strong as a rock.

In rugby, the situation is clear: there is NZ and the others. That is NZ tragedy, they killed competition.
Tough news when the selling point for sporting events is competition.
