Dave lets take your first and presumably best team. Willie is class .. Combrink was good against Ireland, but woeful in the YE tour. .... Kriel is not physical enough and aggressive enough to play test centre, actually he can't even compete at Super level ..... Allende has not improved his skills at all in 3 years...in fact he was offloading better in 2014. His tackling is poor and his defensive nous not at provincial level .... I'm actually in favour of giving Senatla a real opportunity ...we need some speed in our backline. That said his defence is suspect. .... Jantjies, like Cooper, can't function against a dominant defence. He is also mentally fragile. ..... Faf had a great series against Ireland and he is brave. That said his control of play was non existent after Ireland. .... Kitshoff was not as effective as the Beast, hardly a scrumming revelation. ..... Bismarck would add some gravitas. .... Van der merwe is a penalty machine, mostly because his technique is faulty. ..... Etzebeth certainly .... Lomp has been an empty suit, far too much was read into his performances in WC pool games against poor opponents. .... Kriel simply wouldn't feature in the kind of titanic battles that Ireland had against the ABs. And his fetching is second class. ..... Du Plessis is a better option than Stephanie, but still in the Rossouw mode. .... Marcel plays hard with limited success, I doubt he will return any better. ...... Unfortunately this notion of 5 test ready teams, when we just got whipped by Italy is a little hard to believe....right now we can't really put together one team of real test quality.

I have crossed out the no-hopers at test level, at least most of them.The ones highlighted are the best options at the moment. 
Some of the players i have actually never seen play- so they might get crossed off very soon.
