They started him at  13, he has only just arrived and has already made enough of an impression to get a starting spot. Here in SA good old Coetzee overlooks him for inferior players....every time he has played for WP he has made an impression only to be left out shortly thereafter.

I have only watched the first half......where Pat had made a huge hit on Rougerie his opposite number. Not once did Pat receive the ball.

Also in the Munster side was CJ Stander at 8 who has been on fire this season, v/d Heever who has also impressed and old man BJ Botha who was getting his ass kicked in the scrums and spoken to by the ref for scrum infringements.

Given the investment Munster are showing in Pat, I can see him not returning to the Cape......his stint with Munster is meant to be short term

Yep, and so our domestic rugby weakens more.

Bu t let's select the overseas players, there is supposedly no negative effect for us. Only benefits.

 Dave
I watchd the Munster game and the whole game was buggered up comprhensively by the Munster flyhalf - where the hell did they get that Morne Steyn clone from?   He kicked the ball away as if that was the only funcion he had to perform.
One thing I can remember of Howard - who basically never got the ball - was a monster tackle he put in stopping the attack by Clermont attack totally.  During the whole game Hoqward only got the ball twice and both times he made headway in carries - gaining 10 meters in total and beating 32 defenders.
Stander played at 8 - but was not very noticeable.

That's what I said Mike, he put a big hit on Rougerie.

Stander had a few carries and put in his hits....no player stood out in the rain.

Poor Zebo had a nightmare on the wing
