What a poor game that was.....ultimately Raymond Rhule's inability to defend handed the bumbling Leins the game. The Cheetahs were more or less all Zeilinga, who handily outplayed catain confusion Jantjies. Faf was hopeless, Mostert and Whiteley were awol. Kleintjie Kriel innocuous except for one decent turnover.
If these are our best S15 team and our CC winner, Bok rugby is the elevator going down.

Sure it was a oiir game and the Lions specifically was disappointing with the exception = Rohan Janse van Rensburg.
Jantjies can have one consolation - Pollard was worse than he was.

Who would want to be a Bok coach working with blunt offerings.

A poor game indeed. It looked like we're both trying to out hurry each other with the net result being mistake on top of mistake. Still, they tried to play positive rugby and one has to credit them for that.
The Lion's scrum seems to be severely missing Redlinghuys.

The problem is that Mozart will not recognize pathetic if it hits him in the face. I dio rate the game as competitive with some players not really doing what is expected from them.
The panel made an observation about the fact that some players had no break and went to play in Japan during the break in SH rugby - making them looking tired and not poroducing the goods we had got accustomed to. Maybe they ha ve a point.

Eventually the penny wiill drop that Whiteley, Mostert, Kleintjie Kriel, Mapoe, Jantjies and Faf are not test players. The two Lions that are genuine test prospects are Marx and Rohan. But that's just because they have the physical talent....they still have to prove they have the nous and the competitiveness.

I agree with you about Whiteley, Mostert, Mapoe, Jantjies and Faf - but Ktiel is a good loosie - better than the useless ones you normally supports because of deficiency about what is required from loosies .

Kriel is too small. Other small guys like Hooper succeed, but they are much stronger over the ball. Kriel would have been murdered in the AB/Irish tests which are the recent benchmark for tough test rugby.
