Stooge? When will I ever learn anything? It was barely a weak ago that you were raving about the upcoming England test. You spat your dummy out in defiance exclaiming the players had to be released. It was the rules of World Rugby. You are hilarious.

Dave....Kolisi is the one troublesome pick, not because he doesn't contribute as we saw in the DuhAllende try, but because he is a poor fetcher. But if you switch him to blindside, the lineouts and overall physicality are compromised and there are better hard yard options, even though Kolisi is dangerous in space. Obviously he will play barring injury.....but if he does, balancing the loosies becomes problematic. Marx helps and Vermeulen is also a fine fetcher but will he make it given all his injuries.

Moz yeah Kolisi is not a true fetcher but then we don’t really have one other than Kwagga who I have plenty of time for. Kolisi adds loads of value with ball in hand and defensively, I also like his leadership, he rallies the troops well. Thanks to Marx we can get away with not playing a true fetcher

This was another press rumour that did not materialize - Willemse is not in the French squad announced by FRU,  The problem is not really solved, since his next chance may come in the 6-Nations.

We will have to wait and see whether Erasmus will call him up for the November tests.

Willemse was not considered because he doesn't have his French passport yet.

Another thing that slipped my mind sis the fact that Willemse played for he SA Under 20 squad in 2012 and in terms of WR rules cannot play for any other country.

So this debate/discussion is really not warranted at all.

No Maaik, age group representation doesn't count for eligibility anymore. It changed at the beginning of this year.
You're only bound to one country if you've played for their senior team, their "Next Senior Representative Team" team or their national Sevens team (and in the case of Sevens, only if you're older than 18).
Where it used to get a bit complicated is where some countries nominated their "Next Senior Representative Team" as their U20 side but that is no longer allowed since the beginning of this year.
To avoid further confusion on this matter, the World Rugby Website has a link to all the countries'  official "Next Senior Representative Teams".
Ours used to be our U20 side but now it's South Africa "A". Willemse would not have been eligible for France last year because he's represented our U20 side but since the beginning of 2018 he is eligible to play for another country because our "Next Senior Representative Team" has changed from our U20 team to South Africa "A" and he hasn't played a game for South Africa "A".

Thanks Rooinek

I  did not know about the latest change so thanks for the updating.

I  not so worried about Willemse - our player cupboard has more than enough locks.   Would have stiff competition in gtting into the team anyway,

The player I am really worried about is Duhan van der Merwe.  He si a class act.

Yeah a very sad change in the rules. At least the eligibility period is going up from 3 to 5 years from 2020 I think

Star-tongue/Urinal Mint is so embarrassed by his Vinny Vunipola fiasco he has actually looked up the rule.....and now quotes it as if he wasn't totally ignorant before I schooled him two days ago. There's funny!

Goodness me, someone sounds very full of himself again.
Moffie, I think most posters can see for themselves from the context of my reply that I was responding very specifically to ou Maaik's assertion that Willemse was no longer eligible to play for France and it had nothing at all to do with your silly and childish little fairytale based on the fact that you're too stupid and bitter to understand sarcasm.
Are you always this immature or is it just when I'm around?

Nope, there is no way you would have provided the link and the long discussion, if you weren't trying to prove you didn't made a mistake about Vinny. Didn't work......poor old Star-tongue, like a puppet on a string,
