Yes, I need a few very good players that don't cost much. I picked my team already & the really good players like Dane Coles are so expensive they are hard to keep if you want a full team.

Me too JW ,that  Renaldo Bothma for the Bulls looks value at 112K and a 33 point average from 3 games .Know bugger all about him other than that .So atm I sorta stick to Kiwi players.

Thanks for the tip Wardad, I picked him and freed up some cash. I don't have much to offer you in return but I picked Shota Horie at hooker because he scored some good points & is a lot cheaper than Moore of Coles.

 Wardad
I had serious problems with my provisional team and looked at the following as being affordable:-
Owen Franks    =   $112 000J Visagie          =   $112 000Lood de Jager   =   $137 000J Schatz           =   $112 000C Reinach        =    $112 000J Emery           =   $112 000S Senatla        =    $112 000

Keeping it on one thread . . .

Prop
Owen Franks (112) - Is he injured? Why would the in[removed]bent All Black prop be minimum price?
Sekopu Kepu (112) - Ditto for the Wallaby prop.
Ox Nche (112) - Had an excellent Currie Cup. One to watch.

Hooker
Hika Elliott (112) - Great value even if he shares the starting spot with Nathan Harris
Chiliboy Ralapele (112) - Not sure if he'll start ahead of Franco Marais but great value if he does.

Lock
Lourens Erasmus (112) - Will score loads of carrying and tackle points if he gets game time.

Loosie
Rynhardt Elstadt (113) - The Loosies all look very expensive this year but here's a cheapo.
Blade Thomson (181) - Good value now that Fifita is crocked.

Scrumhalf
Cobus Reinach (112) - Very cheap for a likely starting scrumhalf who loves to run.
Taweera Kerr-Barlow (112) - Great value now that Brad Weber is crocked.

Flyhalf
Beauden Barrett (331) - Not cheap but compared to some of the other flyhalves an absolute bargain.
Robert du Preez (166) - Great value if he's the Stompies starting #10.

Centre
Harold Vorster (204) - Not seeing many bargain centres. Vorster worth a shot if he starts.

Outside Back
Seabelo Senatla (112) - Worth putting on your bench just in case he can show his 7s form.
Curwin Bosch (112) - Talented youngster but I'm not sure why the Sharks bought Poitrenaud?

Wardad, Renaldo Bothma was rather average for the Sharks last season. Can't see him getting a lot of game time for the Bulls. I have no idea why he's so popular with the FR managers this year.

AB players will get games off so even though I picked Franks I know that he won't be playing as much as non ABs. This may explain why he is so cheap.

In years gone by whenever it came to these FR comps I'd find the name Samu Kerevi and he'd be the first name on my team sheet. Those days are gone! He's now the most expensive player in the entire game!

Good point on Owen Franks JW.

This Fantasy rugby childish garbage which is clogging up the whole Board. Why the blue blazes would I care what Urinal has to pay for Ox Nche.....play your games to your heart's content, but keep the number of strings down. Or better yet let's use the Other Sports section for these mail room games. This heading gives no indication that it's Fairy Story rugby.

Wehe . . . so says the bloated old fool who pollutes the rugby section with Yankball garbage.
Moffie, no-one gives a flying fig leaf what you think about Fantasy Rugby. Now shove off and stick to threads about your stupid American sports. I don't think any of the rugby fans here will miss the comments of a rugby noob who thinks 50 cap Stuart Hogg is the "new thing at fullback".
Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahahaha!

Kleintjie Carel should be a best buy regardless of price. I hope he's fit and I hope he starts at 10 for WP (Stormers). I like RdP too, but JLdP was better last year.

Have another drink Urinal and a bit of the white stuff......perhaps that will help you with the momentous decision of whether to choose Kepu or Nche! But if I wanted somebody to organize a Fantasy Game, rest assured youwould be my top candidate. In the meantime post this piffle under Other Sports Waaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahaha ......LMAOFY!!

 Draad
Jean-Luc du Plessis is on the list - but at $267 000 - even more expensive than Pollard - who is priced at $225 000.  Also more expensive than Du Preez.
Why don't you join our League at Fossport?

Mike, it seems your fantasy stuff recognizes talent in JLdP's case.
As for joining. I just don't have the conviction to get into the whole thing. I know it doesn't take much time, but when I'm busy at work, I can't be bothered to even takethe time to do a couple of picks. I don't watch too much rugby these days and don't know the players too well. I'm still contemplating joining S18 Superbru. I hate it when Friday morning games are halway through and I forgot to make my picks. Raincheck now, but I'm hoping to join you guys next year...or maybe for the Curie Cup...as a starter. Thanks for the invite though.

Best advice - most members taking part in fantasy competition  are regular posters and only rugby issues are discussed.   You can put your regular piffle below though s ince it has no bearing on rugby issues.
