visits to crowded places in cities like London, Paris and other major cities in Europe - I feel uneasy about London. What happened in Brussels today was horrible and airports and train stations - as well as sports games - are targets because many people use them or are present and the tolls will obviously be higher. .

London is light years ahead in terms of security, with vast deployment of cameras. No city is as well covered. Still you can't totally protect against this kind of savagery. Did the man they arrested on Friday know about this pending attack? The chances are he did. Did they do enough in the interrogations to protect the women and children who were injured or killed, this time it's not just a hypothetical debate.

The guy's attorney said he is co-operating with the police and provided information. This may have expedited the attack - since the Police was closing in on the terrorist network. That is said by the Du tch TV station - as well as CNN.

I have heard his attorney speak on TV, he is not a jihadist....and I would be very skeptical any plans the captive is sharing with somebody outside the cause.
The only really crucial piece of information was the timing and location of the attack...he apparently either never knew or never shared that.
The bombers pushed luggage carts with one gloved hand.....the dead man's hand. Apparently if that is taken off the cart, the bomb explodes, so even they are shot the bomb goes off.....it is guaranteed to go off once a gloved man reaches the target area.
And apparently the two bombers weren't targeting an airline...they were targeting the largest concentration of people. They diverted to cover two populated areas.
We need to be just as tough, for the sake of the innocent, unprotected men, women and children who were savagely attacked today.

Another despicable act. Sympathies to all those who lost loved ones or who have been injured.

I am strongly in favour of re-instating Madame Defarge in France.

Hey oaks a couple of points. Firstly when Trump suggested getting tough on these guys the leftists twits here wailed away like sirens - especially ou maaaikie!! When Trump suggested border scrutiny and closures etc - he was vilified. Can you guys all just admit Trump was correct and you oaks hopelessly wrong despite all the mountains of evidence etc. Admit you have no clue and Trump understands the problem very well etc. Humble apologies are in order.Apart from Beeno who else has got it right. NOBODY
In fact looking through the main aspects of Trumps platform he nails it. No wonder he is doing so well despite vilification by the multiculturalist globalists and their bent media that so easily fools the gullble.
Secondly oaks could we keep political items for Beeno's Trumpet. Here you will find excellent material giving insights into the real issues etc. However all I ask is that you think before posting. I am having difficulties with the hapless rooitwit in this regard

Don't be naive Beeno - Trump is a multimillionaire just like the rest of them.
The European police know who these terrorists are - they have them on their watch list. Some they arrested and then let go.
Obviously they haven't been doing their job.

My main problem is there is no co-ordination between what the EU countries says and what they actually do. The co-ordination of info is seriously defective and even within countries like Belgium internal co-ordination is seriously defective. The inadequacy leads to terrorism attacks of major magnitude.

Unfortunately it takes a tragic case like this for officials to start to solve the problems of lack of communication / sharing information. It was the same before 911 in the US. Belgium is even worse because of the commune system (24 in Brussels) and the differences in languages & culture and all that goes with it. I hope they get it sorted in Belgium and also in Europe (which will be even more of a challenge).

I started this thread as a mere warning to members of our site to be extra careful and not get trapped in places where there are a large number of people - that is where attacks are most likely.
I m afraid the Europe caused the problem for themselves. The liberal governments did not take care of the circumstances by careful scrutiny of people entering Europe and the result is a breeding ground for criminals and saboteurs to enter and merge into the population.
It came out already that some of the terrorists have been criminals before they turned into terrorism and that showed that they should not have been allowed in and given citizenship. The other problem is that the people who came in are not assimilated into the community and effectively are the first people to lose their jobs when there is a downturn in the economy - a fertile ground for recruitment of terrorists.
There are reportedly 5000 terrorists who went to fight in Syria and Iraq and a large number of those are back in their countries of origin - big trouble ahead for most of those countries.

Yeah...airports are nerve racking enough today...I used to enjoy going overseas but now dread it...Brussels,Frankfurt,Zurich and Moscow are all potential targets although security at Sheremetyevo airport is very good...the Ruskies probably have the best security in the world...fly Qatar today...feel quite safe at Hamad (Doha) airport though...Moscow is just over 5 hours from here...mind you to be honest the drive home from King Shaka is probably more likely to kill you...the driving in KZN is the worst in the world...kami kaze taxis and road rage psychopaths that bedevil our roads.

Hacked waaaaugh I cant reply in detail to your very ignorant comment re Trump. If you wants to know the facts rather than your haired brained views go and read through the material I have posted on Beeno's Trumpet - an excellent place for all wanting to understand the modern world.
The EU have been sold down the river by the multiculturalist global elites who want a one orld givernement they comtrol. The EU countries are now riddled with muslim sleeper cells ready to strike whoa re fully supported by muslim communitirs.
The only solutions are rigid border controls and the deportation of ALL muslims from the EU. Nothing else will stop the carnage which is only going escalate as muslim seek to gain control of EU and USA. To achieve this they must get rid of the global elite pilticians ruling so many EU countries. Brexit needs to happen followed by other exits.
The EU is at war but doesnt know it yet although there are increasing signs of a great awakening. Trump has had it rright from the beginning and guess who are looking like complete fools now!The outcome of this struggle will determine whther our children live under sharia law. That is what is at stake in future years.Currently the Eu is commiting suicide and they need to wake up fast.
