Who will win this weekend's qualifiers?

The poll has got it right . It is noteworthy that only 18% of those polled think the bulle can win. Sport is however a strange animal and nothing is cast in stone but the likelihood is bulle going down.

Sharkies -73% think sharkies will win. Bad news for Redsman. Enjoy your final game of the season!!

as n sharks boyjtie the reds are a amazing team so ranting and raving that its a walk in the park is utter nonsense. the reds play attacking rugby so they will always be a factor in any game. if it was the tahs i will have already had the champers out. as history has shown attacking teams always prevail in the super comp.

to me its another game of rugby and the team that takes his points and manges to play his brand of rugby will prevail. best of luck to both teams i am sure it will be a cracker

a reds team playong in suncorp is as dangerous as a crusaders or a stormers in newlands. a walk in the park for the sharks over the reds is one of the silliest things ive ever heard of.

a full strength or near full strength reds team is hard enough at the best of times, put them in suncorp with their mad as QLD fans and u have one of spXVs powerhouse rugby clubs. they got the game breakers like genia and digby who are the worlds best in their position, plus a loose forward trio that holds their own against anyone in the world.
top that off with the fact SA teams never travel well, or are not as strong as they normally are in their own backyard, plus no dutoit or lambie and bismarcks not exactly at 100% and IMO the reds will win by a 20pts.

Sasue and Brycy its always great to get the viewpoint of our kiwi friends even though they are invariably incorrect!! It provids an opportunity for a scholarly correction or two!

All I am willing to concede is that the Sharks are inconsistent. However if they pitch they should win.

Sasue 20 points is unlikely!

Carpetmuncher the talk is that the game will be played more conservatively  - four tries are not needed. The side making the fewest errors will win - i.e. typical knockout rugby.

yes beeno but one still needs to go out and play rugby. changing your style for the sake of being more negative means that the team and coaches does not have the confidence in the style that brought them in the play offs in the first play. if there is a chance to score a try go for it. play your normal game. playing conservative has doen no teams any favours like you stats show. the stormers only winning one out of 5. one does not see the reds of saders starting to play a different brand of rugby just because they are in the knock outs. the need to play conservatively in a crunch game is the same choke mentality that a lot of teams have. the fear of losing is causing them to lose anyways because they are afraid of trying.

its still 80 mins of rugby the same as any other game. change the way you play at your own peril. if its a change of tactics for a few min by all means but old plums is not bounded by the conservative way of thinking. we will go out and test there decence and if we lose at least we know we tried. there is no different style of playing knock out rugby beeno its just another game that needs to be played.

The polls are probably correct.   However, if the Reds do manage to win - they will have to meet that useless :) Chiefs in Hamiton.   The joke of the century would then be the Reds beating the Chiefies at Hamiton - that should quiten down the whinging New Zealanders for quite a while.!!!!!

Oh for two SA wins this weekend.  Bulls could down stay down under and play Chiefies and Stormers would host sharkies.

Then Bulle beat chiefies and we beat sharks. Then of course we beat bulle in final.  What a prospect!!

@ Beeno -

Well I never....

A South African Poll on a South African Website said the Shawwks will win........

I would tend to think if same on foxsports com au - the consensus would be in favour of Reds....

Anyway - bring it!!!

Ok who voted for the Bulls winning? I support any South African team unless they are playing the Sharks- but come on? The Bulls are going to go down hard.

The Sharks can win because the forwards are better. Without Lambie and Steyn it will be more difficult but we can do it. However I do not consider the Sharks as favourites- if anything the Reds should start as favourites- having won the last 7 games they have played. I am sure it is going to be a cracker game.
