I should put that in correct context. I am 43 years old. Most mornings for the first half hour I would be 70 odd.

People have commented at how young I look - I am older than Claydog - All Blacks fans win again.

Don't know why anyone would want to hide their age, especially to a bunch of strangers they'd probably never meet.
Surprisingly, at 35, I am one of the younger posters here by the look of things! Must say though, for a bunch of old fossils most of you are still pretty sharp! Hahaha! I am guessing most of the older guys are still pretty young at heart.

The last win ever at Newlands in a final for the Lions was in 1939. Some of the old posters must have been around then.

Funny how on the odd occasions when we actually make a CC final it seems to somehow always end up as WP .v. the rest of SA .

Ja Bob, same for the Bulls, unless they play WP in the final. Bluebok alluded to that a couple of days ago. People love to cheer on the underdog, and although the Lions are the favorites for tomorrow, they are the guys who have been dealt a sh!tty hand by SARU lately with the Kings debacle and every have a soft spot for them as a result of that . They also played good rugby this season. It would be no shame if WP misses out on the CC against a team like that. Hoping for a great game AND for WP to pull through despite the odds.

Hey hey hey...and all you WP fans - dont forget....WP lose tomorrow, its the 4th consecutive year that they have lost a playoff at Newlands LOL.....
Sure they dont want to be called 'chokers' or anything like that.... No pressure

Sharky, if WP loses tomorrow after playing well, it won't be a choke. You've got a good case for the previous losses, those were chokes. The Lions are the favorites for tomorrow, so a WP loss cant be a choke, unless we get a grubbing like the Sharks got last week.

I think I might be having a mid-life crisis.
I have ordered a Harley Davidson Dyna Low Rider. 103 cubic inches of American steel That's 1700cc for us Saffas.....
I have ridden bigger but the last motorcycle I officially owned was 50cc...LOL

Lol - thanks Dave. The wife is not overjoyed, and I am still wondering where I am going to park it but it is all really happening. Life is to short to limit oneself because of fear of what could happen.
I might not have time to do my license before winter hits - then I dont want a brand new bike standing out the winter (that would drive me insane), so I might only get it next year March/April.

Only kidding, enjoy the bike, no place better to ride one than the US of A.
PS where abouts are you?
PSS, about the 2007 choke. You won the game, only had to kick it out...not the same bro....lets see what happens first before argueing this point.

I am quite happy with a farming implement - in its soul are jazz, soul and rock and roll music - not japanese techno like the alternative

There are other options than Jap, but I'm only pulling your socks. There are a couple of HD's I like. Some other US bikes as well. I'm too big for Italian bikes, but I love the Ducati monster. Buell is also something different. Do you still get Indians... the bike version, i n the US?

Hey Db - I know you pulling my leg bud, and to be honest - out of any vehicle, motorcycles are such a personal choice. You have such a wide variety of 'fit for purpose' options that out of 100 guys you will probably get 5 or 6 different groups of who likes what. Even within the HD fraternity, you get the Sporties, Dyna, Softail, Tourers and guys will argue at an all Harley Davidson event which of those are the best.
I have ridden lots of different bikes in my time. My brother is a motorcycle fanatic and in his day so was my dad. My 16 year old nephew races bikes (I think he is in GP 3 now) and is probably one of the most promising riders in his age group in South Africa right now. Its kind of in our family blood.
I can tell you without a doubt that what I am buying is by far not the best when it comes to handling, power to weight or any of those things so I would not even enter a debate. Someone who buys a Harley Davidson knows why they are buying a Harley Davidson. I am so terrified on a superbike for some reason, I absolutely cannot even consider that as an option.
We do get Indian and the other American bike is Victory. Both apparently very good bikes, both priced heavier than the Harley Davidson, both have the history and pedigree - I just dont like them. Cant put my finger on it.
One other thing I can tell you. I wanted to buy a Triumph. I went to Ray Price here in Raleigh - stood there in person looking at the Triumph bikes standing beside the Harley Davidsons. Without a doubt, and without bias (because I wasn't going HD at the time) I can tell you that the build quality on the Harley Davidson compared to the Triumph is like comparing a Mercedes Benz to a Nissan. Sorry Triumph fans - but it is true. The Triumph might be perfectly reliable, perhaps even better mechanically than the Harley, but on build and finish - HD kills it. Only someone severely biased would not see that.
