Based on the performances in the previous 2 weeks, the Boks and Wallabies will go into tomorrows games as the 2 out of sorts teams in the competition.

Argie has punched well above their weight in both of their opening games, so big ups to them.

The Boks, playing in Oz… have a notorious record. They’re going to have to pull off something exceptional to beat Robbie Dean’s side in Perth… even though Oz have been nothing short of rubbish this year.

The Boks have beefed up their loose trio with the inclusion of Duanne Vermulen. Ironically, Vermulen may find his Bok debut not so easy going as the Oz game style wont suit his style of play at all. Duanne loves to get stuck in but may be a bit short of breath and pace tomorrow.

What I find appalling was listening to Heyneke Meyer say that Keegan Danial would start against Australia after being dropped for the 2nd test against Argentina… in an attempt to explain his horses for courses approach to games 2 weeks ago in Mendoza.

Heyneke, you are losing many supporters and even more credibility!

One doesn’t want a player to play badly, but I’d be happier to see Morne Steyn not perform well… a he tends to do on the odd occasion… A decent performance tomorrow may mean that he is guaranteed another 10 Bok caps by Meyer.

We have more flyhalf depth now than ever before… why are we stifiling at the opportunities that Jantjies, Lambie and Goosen have brought to the table.

Anyway… before I rumble on about nothing…

My prediction for tomorrows game:

Hougaard will prove his critics wrong and will perform with aplomb with Habana at the back.

Duanne will be found wanting.

Our pack will kill at scrum time, but battle at lineout time.

The beast is due for a big game!

Overall, looking at head to head battles, the Boks should take this one by about 7 points… but we are shit travellers, so we’d need to overcome the psychological side of things if we want to remain in contention for the Championship trophy this year.

We do have what it takes!

Well said Flash, my prediction is a 10 point win by the Boks. I am anticipating a marked improvement in attitude and in the backline.

Duane is a bit of a worrying as he simply cannot be fit. As for Keegan a coach can change his mind? Keegan off the bench on a hard fast Perth ground would have been a possibility.

Our record in Perth is not too shabby and the side should be ready to go.

Anyhow I agree we have what it takes to win and I do hope Mike revises his 10% estimate re a Bok win. 10% would be what one gives Tonga? Such a low opinion of the Boks!!!!!!

I'm with you guys here, I reckon it won' t be a surprise at all if the Boks win this. I have a good feeling about this team we are fielding, its not perfect, but it is very good. One or two small changes, Kirchner for example, would make it better, but it is still very good.

True Bluebok this is not our best but not too bad.  The will to win must be there when the Bok stake the field. If they win this and even if they lose in nz we may still be in it as our last two games are at home.

By the way can anyone explain why the log leaders wining the TROPHY is a merit situation but not when it comes to the Super 15  -there the guys who win the playoffs win and are suppsoedly the best side in some folks eyes.  A difficut one for the oaks to answer!

The big question I suppose is what difference will Pienaar make. Can he spark a backline revival. I like Hougie on the wing - the guy is dynamite.

depends on the tactics HM uses. if we can contest the breakdowns and win our own ball we should take it. we do have more quality in the team just a case of playing a style that will make use of all the relevant players skillsets.

the forwards need to be cohesive and techically on song. the wallies pack are not the best but are street smart so i hope our boys can assume control and give quick ball to the backline. there is huge question marks on a lot of players so we will see if they can deliver. on the point of hougaard he will only be effective if he gets the ball in space and he get quick ball he will be a force. that is up to inside backs to generate that for him. aimless kicking against the aussies will be canon fodder so if there needs to be kicking lets hope it to gain a clear advantage. the aussies had a specialst aussie rules consultant in so the high ball wont be effective.

a quick high ball posession style on saterday with our direct style cant lose i cant see it. that being said if we lose the battle of the ruck were cant outgun them if we dont protect and spoil there recycling speed.

this is the real test for Hm and his vision so after this game and the AB game we will see how he matches up to the best in the world. lets just hope its a great skillfull game.

it think vermeulen will perform and jeandre will provide much better support for the beast in the scrums so i think we are on course. just depends on the players and the mentality going out there. pienaar will make positive change. my only concern is the replacement scrumhalf on the bench i feel if hougie plays wing there should be cover on the bench for pienaar. it just disrupts the balance for me a bit. if one comes off then we risk reshuffling the backline.

@beeno the super15 is competion where the winner are the ones the final. the finals are knockouts yes beeno knockouts.....if one follows your argument then every team that won there pool in the RWC is the winners. champoins excel in pressure knockout games that is why the best rise to the top and the wannabee's joke out for 11 years in a row now. get over it.

I said it in the other prediction thread. The Bok team can win, but it's all about execution, and style of play. If their bog ordinary gameplan is relevant, and they're lazy towards the breakdowns, it's all over.

They need to put their workboots on, and bring their lunch pales to work tomorrow. I want to see some determination, intensity, and some urgency from the boks. Look down at that jersey you are wearing and that should give you enough motivation. Go Bokkkes!
