Mapoe being a better center than De Allende is the typical BS you come up with.   When caught lying about the 2015 match involving  Francois Steyn and  De Allende - you went quiet and did not respond.   If you want to copy Mozart's example be more careful and not make it easy to find out.

As to Pakie he constantly publish photos normally from dubious angles and then claim he has the real info.  He also come up with BS as to what happened in matches.   Normally he missed out what actually happened in matches to give a different account as to prove him right.

As to what happened there is a common thread here - the players and coaches you are supporting and denigrating all the time has the same objective, namely to denigrate your pet hates and glorifying the duds you support.  

Try and get some objectivity into your posts and things may not deteriorate they did si nce your return to site.

I also find it rather interesting, ou Maaik, that you, the ESPN expert, suddenly can't find a match report on your own. For example, just a day or two ago you very quickly dug up stats from a game involving De Allende and Frans Steyn, yet now you're suddenly unable to find a test match from 2016?

But it strikes me as funny how you were going waaaaahahahahaaaaaa! and making fun yourself of ou Maaik's blatant lies a few weeks ago (remember the 7m tackle and the Fleck/Kayser incident?), and now suddenly you want to be his knight in shining armor.

His playstyle revolves around link up play with little advantage to the forward pack, he commits to forward play duties but not with effect, excluding lineout play. Yes, one of the number 8's roles is to link up forwards with backs if the player skills lean too far in that direction it usually becomes a detriment to the team. Whole lot of effort for less than adequate results. Also the available playstyle to the Springboks isn't one for expansive rugby, if we follow this ideal we'll get trounced by team who understand running rugby better than us, we need a more balanced gameplan which means a more balance number 8.  

Vermeulen brought a whole lot of grunt to the park that's been lacking the last while and it made a big difference.

I'm not so sure about the balance you speak of. He won the collision for us and it set us up with some nice front foot ball ... he also played brilliantly to ground and won the contest there too.

We have a 6 in Kolisi that doesn't know his role ... and we were missing the physicality of Marx and Etzebeth ... so it was vitally important that Vermeulen up his game from what we've seen of him up north.     

Whitely doesn't play that way at all. He's not nearly as physical but what he brings, is a lot more pace and deft handling of the ball. He also has a higher work rate which unlike Vermeuen he sustains for the entire 80.

Chaos? ... Nah ... that's a tad harsh. He has his own special set of skills that will benefit the team ... especially if we have a skilled specialist at 6 ... and of course Malcolm Marx doing what he does best.

Whiteley is a class act and has been key to the Lions success.

However ... if I had to pick between a fully fit Vermeulen and Whiteley, I'd go with Vermeulen every time.

Whiteley isn't that sort of player and the pace and deft handling of the ball is why I base my comparison to a basketball player. Sadly Lions rugby can not be the basis for a new South African rugby ideology, we don't have the means. I see a more NH style of playing rugby being our best option.
