It really is funny to see how the arsehole distances himself from this now.

He was always a defender of the previously disadvantaged ... the black man ... ready to be their champion ... always favouring them over his own people ... calling for justice ... insisting that past wrongs be righted ... and that affirmative action in the work place ... and quotas in sport were a good start ... and that we should learn to accept it as he has.

Then one day something happened to his son. Arsehole junior had just completed his studies and went out looking for work. He applied for a position and was rather excited about his future at this company. He had the whole household in an uproar. They waited with bated breath.

Sadly he soon discovered that the position had been given to ... um ... a black man. He was simply a better choice because the company benefited from his appointment with better tax rebates ... and they were working hard on their BEE status. The aim was to appoint additional black people.

Next thing, Redneck comes on line, complaining bitterly about how unfair this racist practice was. Poor little junior was rejected because of the colour of his skin. He went on and on.

I reminded Redneck of previous comments he had made in favour of the practice and congratulated him on finally waking up. He was clearly embarrassed as he suddenly clammed up and spoke no more of it. He did the deep dive as Mozart would say.

I think the penny finally dropped that day ... however ... he still sees himself as a defender of these people and would sell you out without a second thought.

We still see him promoting the quota ... and it’s usually followed by a statement of how we should come to terms with it ... that it’s part of our society ... and that he hates it ... BUT ... blah, blah, blah ...

I have come to the conclusion that quotas in sport .. and affirmative action in the work place ... are an acceptable practice to him ... but not when it affects his family ... or his loved ones.

That’s our Redneck for you ... a spineless twat ...

Living in South Africa one has no choice but to embrace quotas and transformation. Nothing can be done to stop this. It is just trying to get by whilst being at a disadvantage.
When I hear the bible bashing Boers like Beeno, Draad and Lost sheep say that SARU should just ignore quota's - it just shows how out of touch you are.
The employment equity act law of South Africa clearly states racism is legal. If a company does not follow this policy the directors could be arrested or the company struck off the registrar.

It is a communist version of democratic majority rule, nothing to do with merit or capitalism. Black people as a statistical average are the poorest around the world, even in Africa where the richest individuals are black. This has been explained in South Africa purely by the past, and therefore legitimate right to readdress this. The problem is that Africa is the most economically unbalanced place in the world where their leaders horde everything amongst a small elite.
From what I have heard is that if you have your own company if it is more than 9 people you have to have a black director. It is the law.
Some jobs are reserved for black people only- like South African Airways.
https://www.labourguide.co.za/employment-equity/summary-of-the-employment-equity-act-55-of-1998-issued-in-terms-of-section-25-1

http://www.dti.gov.za/economic_empowerment/bee.jsp

The purpose of the Act is to achieve equity in the workplace, by

  1. promoting equal opportunity and fair treatment in employment through the elimination of unfair discrimination; and
  2. implementing affirmative action measures to redress the disadvantages in employment experienced by designated groups, to ensure their equitable representation in all occupational categories and levels in the workforce.
B contradicts A.
-
1.2 Application of the Act: Section 4
  1. Chapter II (sections 5 – 11) applies to all employers and employees.
  2. Chapter III (sections 12 – 27) applies to designated employers.
  3. A designated employer means an employer who employs 50 or more employees, or has a total annual turnover as reflected in Schedule 4 of the Act, municipalities and organs of state. Employers can also volunteer to become designated employers.
  4. A designated group means black people, women, or people with disabilities.
  5. The South African National Defence Force, National Intelligence Agency, and South African Secret Services are excluded from this Act.

3.1 Duties of a Designated Employer: Section 13
    1. A designated employer must implement affirmative action measures for designated groups to achieve employment equity.
    2. In order to implement affirmative action measures, a designated employer must:
    • consult with employees;
    • conduct an analysis;
    • prepare an employment equity plan; and
    • report to the Director-General on progress made in the implementation of the plan.

.6 Employment Equity Plan: Section 20

      1. A designated employer must prepare and implement a plan to achieve employment equity, which must:
      • have objectives for each year of the plan;
      • include affirmative action measures;
      • have numerical goals for achieving equitable representation;
      • have a timetable for each year;
      • have internal monitoring and evaluation procedures, including internal dispute resolution mechanisms; and
      • identify persons, including senior managers, to monitor and implement the plan.
So it is pretty clear here that companies have no choice. They have to report each year on how they are transforming.

Keep your single company turnover under R10M, your margins large and your service sought after.

Problem solved.

Or insist on working to enrich someone else with the constant threat of the BEE axe over your head.

Black people are traditionally the poorest group in most countries.

South Africa wants the average black person to be richer than the average person from all other races - but this does not happen anywhere in the world. (even in Africa when the richest individuals are black people).

Rooi

If CC was not white, he would be the most ardent member of the EFF, BLF, BLM and on and on.

It's what happens when you only see the world from your own point of view.

Blacks have strengths that whites don't. Whites have strengths that blacks don't. Mixed race people have their own strengths, and so do orientals and indians.

If the world was comprised of CC types, those groups would go on hating each other for ever and a day.

It's exactly the reason why society still despise our racial and cultural differences instead of celebrating them and also the reason why said differences cannot be discussed openly and constructively.

A bit off topic and ignore my post if you so desire but I believe this is a good time as any to ask those interested......
a) Do you believe the disparity between the minority white and majority black is unfair?b) If you do then how would you resolve the issue?
I understand that it's a highly sensitive and complex issue but I've always been curious as to how white South Africans would address the issues and again as I say, feel free to ignore my post, that said I would appreciate your honesty.

When you say the disparity between minority white and majority black are you referring to the ever-shrinking gap between the generally wealthier whites and the generally poorer black . . . or are you referring to the enormous and ever-increasing gap between the super-wealthy BEE Black Diamonds and everyone else?

The biggest gap right now is between the Black Diamonds who have made huge amounts of money through corruption and nepotism and the average working black man. The whites are somewhere in between.

He seems to think nobody remembers his past support for quotas. Lying halfwvt!

Of course things have changed and now the vast majority on this board don't support quotas. The deceitful rooijackass has therefore changed his tactics and says we must kinda accept quotas and work to minimize damage.

@Denny, if you removed white and other race groups from South Africa the disparity between black people would be even more extreme. The same problem exists over all of Africa. Probably the fastest growing population but the slowest growth economy in the world.
If someone has 20 kids, it stands to reason they will become poorer family, unlike a family with 2-3 kids. It is all convenient to blame Apartheid, but the same problem exists across Africa.
The government corruption is unimaginable for people living in first world countries.
Where ever you are in the world you see pictures of starving kids in Africa- with a request for donations.

Denny, excuse the long post, but you wanted honesty, and I would like to provide my honest view and opinion on this topic.

The disparity is certainly there, and from when it started, I don't know, and for when it might improve and get to 50/50 at any point in the distant future, I also have zero idea.

For the record... I absolutely hate quotas..... I despise them...…..quotas are a vacuum that just destroys everything it comes into contact with...…...it does nothing for our workforce, such as our professional occupations like doctors, surgeons, dentists, CEO's...…..nor does it do anything to improve our economy, by employing less educated people to do the correct and necessary job.  The amount of non qualified people in extremely important positions in this country, who cause billions of rands in losses, due to not being prepared or fully educated for the position they are in, is staggering.

The approval mark or acceptance mark has been lowered over the years to accommodate these quota's...…. whether that be on the sports field or in the boardroom, so therefore our sports all suffer, as do our businesses...… Eskom, SAA, Transnet, Telkom....

My children could have been heavily affected by these quotas, because other black children that achieved absolutely nothing even remotely close to what my kids did in school, got the bursaries or full scholarships, only to pull out halfway through those university scholarships after a year and a half...… choose some other field because they did not enjoy what they were currently studying and got a bursary for...…... and then still get another full and complete bursary to study their new career option at another university in a completely different town.

Years ago, my daughter's one friend in her class got 52% for matric, and nothing more.... and that friend got a full bursary to Stellenbosch university...…. my daughter got 6 distinctions, and got nothing...….. I will be honest by saying that if nobody at all got nothing, then I could live with that...… but if one gets a full bursary for achieving 52%, and another with 6 distinctions over 80% gets nothing only because she is white......where is the disparity in that...… it's all just reverse racism.

I say my kids could have been affected, because luckily we had study policies in place from when they were young...... but thousands of families don't have that option, and what does that do to the child who wants to become a doctor, heart surgeon.....but the family cannot afford university...…….

I'm also tired of defending being white, when I personally did zero to any person of colour..

You get Black Power, Black lives matter, NBJC, BYP, BOLD, AAPC, NBMJI.... to name but a few.....etc etc, but say anything like that and include "white" in it, then you are a disgusting white supremacist.... there is just no give here...….

It was in the news yesterday...…...Ramaphosa has been begging all young South Africans to stay in the country, and of those who have left, to please return and help grow SA...…... check out their response letters to News24 below...…. News24 said the response from the youth of SA..... black, white, coloured etc etc was absolutely overwhelming

You will find this extremely interesting.....

Why the youth are leaving SA

Why do we have something like only 7% -12% of our municipalities nationwide, that are actually operating efficiently...…. who is to blame for this, why are they still in the position they are?

Why is water becoming such a problem in SA, for so many towns...…….... we actually know exactly why...………. because the infrastructure is so incredibly poor, and has not been upgraded or updated for the last 25 years...… this is a fact, and we lose billions of liters every month because of all the leaks...…

You have municipal staff deliberately turning off water supplies to certain areas in South Africa because their requests to get paid more overtime was denied, because the work they were supposed to do, could and should have easily been done in a normal work week, but it wasn't......they were delaying it on purpose to get overtime...… and when it gets denied, sabotage your community...… why are they not arrested.

Why are taxi's that are found guilty of transporting 65 children, back on the road within 24 hours.....

Why are our police so inept at doing their job...…… they are mostly incredibly overweight, have no pride in the uniform, and will take a bribe 5 times out of 10

My honest feeling is this.....

Mandela had the once in a lifetime opportunity to show that a black man could turn a country around, and govern it to become a complete and utter success in front  of an entire world audience..... it unfortunately did not happen

Thabo Mbeki then had the perfect opportunity to show that a black man could turn a country around, and govern it to become a complete and utter success in front of an entire world audience..... it unfortunately did not happen

Jacob Zuma had the opportunity to show that a black man could turn a country around, and govern it to become a complete and utter success in front of an entire world audience..... it unfortunately did not happen

Robert Mugabe had the opportunity to show that a black man could turn a country around, and govern it to become a complete and utter success in front of an entire world audience..... it unfortunately did not happen

The need for self sustainability and overall greed is just too far entrenched into the people that were previously disadvantaged and they want payback...… at any cost, including to their own people

Also, if you are not educated or very poorly educated......, and you are living off a very small government grant every month, why would you choose to have 8 children?  Why would you deliberately want to bring that many children into this world, and not fully be able to provide for them and shove them into a 2 room shack......Why do this, and then blame everyone else around you, but mostly the white man.

A man that recently waited 20 years for his ANC RDP house, and protested for a long time by burning cars and blockading national roads etc etc because it was taking too long.... recently finally got his brand new house...… and when the government went to check on him a few months later to see how happy he was to have finally gotten out of a shack...…. they found him living in the exact same tin shack behind the brand new RDP house that he was recently given...…....….. he was renting his new house out for R7 000 a month, and treating himself to all these other luxury goods while he lived in the same shack that he fought and blocked roads to get out of, for 20 years.....

Where is the logic in that?

I certainly don't have the answers, and I know for 100% certainty that I am not racist...…. but man.... I really don't see how much good the black government has done for it's very own people in the last quarter of a century...….and yet me..... the white man...... is still to blame.

My post made me remember something that happened recently, which again, brings things into a real perspective...……..

Not too long ago, there was a convicted child rapist running around and in close vicinity of a certain township...… He was known to the local community, so the police made an appeal to the township people to please immediately report any sighting of this criminal to their local police station, so that they could apprehend him and prevent him from attacking other children

The township people's response back to the police...……… tell us first how much the reward money is

Just a bit of fun....no true rugger fan and that includes Rooinek would be in favour of quotas. The fact is quotas are a form of discrimination....supposedly justified on the basis of prior discrimination. But if that's the case they should have a sunset provision....instead they appear to escalate as times goes by. The conventional view is they haveto be accepted.....maybe, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't be challenged. How about a one week boycott by all fans....that at least would draw world attention to the issue. There are also international organiztions, such as the Olympics that could be approached again. The fact is quotas have been very meekly accepted by a down trodden people....this cause needs a leader who can generate some resistence.

It's quite clear that black cultures are not able to build and maintain governments on the western model.

The most successful system would be one that they came up with themselves through trial and error.

The problem is that it'll take time. Time they don't have.

The next best thing is an honest discussion to identify key areas where white/asian/arab governments are out doing them.

The problem right now is that any such discussion is deemed racist.

It's what so frustrating about the far left. They're not allowing for what could be meaningful progress. And it has to start with honesty, free from PC bullying.

Blacks in first world countries have their "slave" past used to drum up votes for people that perpetuate victim culture to their own ends.

Blacks in SA are tricked  into thinking that apartheid will always be more to blame for their woes than the present administration.

Ultimately blacks are still victims.

The real reasons that they're victims, compared to their perception of their victimhood...unfortunately don't match up.

Hopefully strong black leaders emerge and are able to separate the real issues from the BS without being called "house boy/girl".

On a positive note, I meet more and more young black people that are insulted by being viewed as victims. They demand to stand on their own and be judged only on what they do. In an ideal world, those are tomorrow's leaders.

Good luck with that Plum, the victim culture seems to be an unstoppable machine. The politicians benefit by playing off these historical inequities and the vast majority of the victim group are hooked on the handout drug. These things only get inhibited (they never go away completely) by powerful interventions....like the Great Recession or the complete plunge into dictatorship. Then you rebuild and once there's prosperity the pressure builds again.

@Draad, the EFF support base is growing. These people want as much transformation as possible. They see white people still richer than them, and they don't like it.

The rhetoric of Malema is all about white people.

Recently he said he did not want to kill white people, instead, he wanted them to carry black babies around and do the menial house tasks for black people.

He has no constructive plans, it is blaming white people for everything.

If the ANC loses the election it will be to the EFF who's only plan is to take everything away from a tiny white minority that is like 4% of the population.

Relating sport to transformation, this is why politicians jump on this bandwagon as it seems like they are fighting for the rights of black people and affirmative action.

So when you say "we" - there is no chance because it is a tiny minority that will never outvote the masses. There is no way that anyone can stand up to it. Unfortunately, i f anything the situation will get worse.

White people might be in the minority, but we are not alone. Lots of our other countrymen can see the folly of his ways.

@Draad, I don't think you are being realistic. Each year the white population gets smaller, and each year the black population gets bigger. Each year the black population and white population are getting poorer, as are all other races in SA. The education system is another system that is fallen apart - which has an impact on everyone.
As the economy continues to crumble and the population grows, the masses are going to move further and further to the left wing - and become radical. They will turn to someone like Malema. Malema is the type of "ruler" that would only ever get into power in a situation where the vast majority are have not's (no brains, no wealth, no future prospects etc ).

There are no allies in other counties that are going to interfere with SA politics- particularly with the Apartheid history and unclear legacy land ownership amongst a small white minority.
The UN/NATO etc never interfered with Zimbabwe/Rhodesia - so it will be the same in SA. There is a conveyer belt of Julius Malema wannabes who are chomping at the bit to get some show time.

Would of course ensure the collapse of the RSA but whose fault would that be but those racists who precipitated all this.

Glad to see Arsehole and the buggering Plum kiss and make up. They’re the same kind of people.

Enemy of my enemy, I guess. That is till the Buggerer starts crying about the ref again ... then Redneck will make his appearance again ... and “Tail Gunner” Plum will skulk off and pout.

He’s only tough around girls, ya know!

LMAO!

I was wondering whether Arsehole would deny any of it. I see he considered it, but in the end thought it best to limit his defense to ... “dishonest little piece” ...

Can’t say I blame him. It happened exactly as I said ... and he knows it.

The poor dear made such an arse of himself. LOL!!

One moment he’s in favour of promoting them ... calling me racist ... trying to gather support against me ... and the next he’s crying bitterly on how unfair it all was  ... “sniff ... sniff”.

Hilarious!!

Now he’ll side with anyone who opposes my opening post to try save face. That's how he usually operates.

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahahahaaaaa!!!

Go ahead you fat fcuk ... muster as much support as you can ... it won’t change what a lying, spineless, hypocrite you are.

I saw how you were trying to justify your love for the quota again ... using the same old material I’ve seen you use in previous attempts ... and to be honest, I've grown tired of it and so thought it best to expose you for the spineless two face that you are.

That’s when I remembered your little emotional episode.

Oh and by the way ... I had no idea how my post would be received ... and as is usually the case ... I say what I want, however I want, whether it’s met with favour or not. Besides, unlike you, I am quite capable of fighting my own fights ... and handling a spineless arsehole like you doesn't need support.

I think I pretty much achieved that.

Yes BeanDip ... I agree ... the white folk are keeping this country afloat. The moment they leave is the moment we have another African state begging the world for aid.

This is a sewer in the making.

I would love to live in the States under Trump.

Trump is in favour of nationalism and wants to protect his borders. He does not want globalisation and open borders for people from South Africa to gain citizenship.
He will talk about South Africa on Twitter with one or two comments, he will do nothing about it.
It would be nice for other countries to help out - but this would be a refugee scenario. More chance Europe would help out than the USA. You are always running down the EU for accepting refugees, but if other countries were to offer refugee status it is most likely the EU.
The UN and NATO have a much bigger threat at hand with Muslim fanatics, a global problem that is getting worse.
If Trump could have his way, he would build a wall all around all of America (Even the Canadian side).

Sharktwit the Globalist ruled EU will not import white refugees. Go and google the Kalergi Plan. What these globalists are attempting in Europe is population replacement, the destruction of Judeo Christian values and indeed the destruction of Western civilization and the free democratic sovereign nation states of Europe.

Trouble is CC our Rands are almost worthless.  A Trump ruled USA is great but one ruled by the demorats well may as well try Venezuela!

Yes ... to think that in 1990 we were R2.50 to the US$.

How things have changed.

Now it's almost cheaper to wipe our asses with Rands than with 2 ply toilet paper.

The USA has always imported people from around the world - and how they grew into the best economy. Traditionally heralded as the land of opportunity, it attracted motivated people from around the whole of the world . They would certainly favour specialist skills or/and younger people.

The original chicken runners got a good deal when they left SA. Those that had money and ran made a tidy profit and enjoyed the spoils.

Shark, the people who I know who went there went less than 5 years ago and weren't that young...in their 40"s...skilled though.

I'll prepare my kids to go there. Wish I had seen the light 10 years ago. Will be very difficult to go now...but my boys will get in.

Weather in Europe is not to my liking, except for the south and I have no interest in any of those countries. If the USA wakes up, like they seemed to, they'll be great again. Their biggest problem is that they don't know how good they have it and how easy it is to lose it all.

Trump might be a bit of a d!ck, but he's not stupid and his heart seems to be in the right place.
