I give credit to Mitchell for turning a mule into a race horse. You could see that the player is vastly different from what he used to be and it was a pleasure to see him and De Jager putting up a much improved performance on Saturday.
Previously his ball skills were near to zero - on Saturday it was superb. However, I am somewhat surprised by your comments since the playing style of the Bulls were totally different from what it used to be and definitely totally different from the BS stressed by you as to how the game of rugby should be played,
Even Kriel was a vastly different player from what he used to be under Meyer, Ludeke and Marais - he even learned how to off-load balls.

Another piece of unadulterated BS - Mitchell started to turn around the Lions and had a Ackerman as assistant coach and taught him the tricks as well. And where is the Lions at present. In the process he got into a disagreement with Jantjies and Strauss because they were penalized by him for poor performance and in the end he was proven right and the franchise was penalized for wrongful action based on those two.
Where did that story "it will not last" originate? Only Mozart can come up with unsubstantiated BS like that.
You must get the context right: An excellent coach can get good players into an excellent performing side but you cannot turn mules into racehorses...lol.
Mules and even mediocre players are not found in most top performing franchises or clubs, they get there by their talents...admittedly some lesser coaches do not recognise talents and fail to utilize their full potential...but the fault is the coach in the first place...Jesse Kriel mentioned by Beeno is an example.
Be that as you may, that's not SA's problem...our reservior is deep with talent but coaches with vision that can mentor, plan effectively have been few and far between over the past decade or so .

No it was enough and got the team into the final of Super Rugby - and that is where Jake broke his contract with the Brumbies because he did not get the Wallabies coaching job. The Sharks took him in and after a year he was fired because of coaching deficiencies. These are factual - your jargon is not.

However, it did not materialize and even in is first match as coach against one of the best teams in Super Rugby Mitchell at last showed what really is happening at the Bulls - may it continue.

Snyman was good in the U20 Workd Cup - with one problem - his ball skills were deficient, He then got into the hands of Ludeke and Marais and it looked like he became a mule and a useless one at that, The two coach pretenders were destroying his career.
I was amazed on Saturday to see the improvement in this player - he sudsdenly got ball skills and playing thinking rugby - something totally absent in 2016 and 2017. I can only praise Mitchell for handling the player that well..
I hope you also saw the improvement of De Jager as well. He not only showed amazing pace for a lock in scoring a try - he was the third person at the ruck after the Pollock kick - the resultant leading to the try scored by Schoeman.
The same improvement was noted iro Pollard and the other Bulls players as well.
Mozart has gone awry in his thinking and is now displaying total ignorance.

Cape Town - Former Springbok coach Nick Mallett heaped praise on the Bulls following their 21-19 Super Rugby win over the Hurricanes in Pretoria at the weekend.
It was new Bulls coach John Mitchell’s first Super Rugby game with the Pretoria franchise and they showed marked improvement from last year.
Mallett commented on the game in the SuperSport studio and said he was pleasantly surprised after not expecting the Bulls to win.
“I have never been more pleased to have been wrong. It is a great turnaround and hopefully we will get bigger crowds at Loftus to support the Bulls because that was a really skilful and gutsy performance by the Bulls. It was just everything you would expect from a South African team against a New Zealand team and thank goodness we came out on top,” Mallett said.
“The Bulls deserved their win because they stuck in there and played for each other. Their fitness levels were good and their off-loading game was excellent. Their scrummaging was much better than last year and a lot of credit must be given to the tighthead prop (Frans van Wyk) who came in. Then their defence, we spoke about it, but they got stuck in the whole game.”
Only 9 506 fans attended the match at Loftus Versfeld but Mallett is hopeful for a better turnout this weekend when the Bulls host the Lions in a Highveld derby.
“It is an outstanding result and with the Lions next week at Loftus, the whole of Gauteng must turn up there and support their team.”
The potential of RG Snyman isn't anything new. We all saw it ages ago.

One has to be positive in this case. The Bulls lost all the CC games when Marais was dismissed and things start to look better when Mitchell took over,
The Hurricanes are poor travelers - especially early in the series - but what really matters in the case of the Bulls is the amazing improvement in the skill set of players like Snyman, De Jager, Kriel and even Pollard, If that is maintained and spread to other players the team will start moving up on the log.
I am happy with the start - but there is a lot of work to be done and I doubt not that Mitchell and the players realize that. A good enough start - lets hope it continues. One can follow with optimism their performances and see what happens in future.

What bothers me about Mozart is not the string of misrepresentations - some call it lies - but also the total disregard for coaching as a factor in player development and his prejudice against - even hatred of certain players
He never had Snyman as an option - Snyman came after Etzebeth and Willemse in his list of players - and he cannot stomach the fact that De Jager had a top class game on Saturday and is not mentioned once by Mozart and also no Kriel - both being on his hate list.
The further factor is his views on coaching and the roll of coaches in player development. He obviously does not believe coaches has a role to play in player development and he admired the dead backline approach of both Meyer and White - a backline is there only to defend and the halfbacks have to kick balls away - i f the ball ever goes to the inside center he has to crashball. Scoring of tries are never mentioned by Mozart - but kicking at goal is what counts,.
Pollard's goal kicking on Saturday was substandard - but in his praise song Mozart was dishonest and did not mention that.
I regard Mozart as the weird joker on site - he is so disjointed in his responses and so illogical that it is always good for a laugh.
Yep, RG Snyman has been knocking on the door for some time now, but when you play in a poor team it is very hard to get spotted.

Lomp was one of the form locks back in 2015 and hopefully he will regain his place.
What I like about RG is his pace and mobility as well as brute force. Could moon light at 8 or 7. The same as Daniel Roussouw.

There are no issues at all with the Bok tight five. That much is clear. Louw, Marx, Kitshoff, (Eben/Mostert/PSDT/Snyman/Lomp - Take your pick).
There are enough loosies for Rassie to pick according to how he wants to play as well. From big bruisers to smaller fetchers and everything in between. There are no issues up front provided the coaching sorts itself out.
Faf simply has to come back at 9. Nobody else is close to his skill presently. Ross Cronje looks worse with every game i see him play. Just slow, pedestrian and predictable. 10 might not be very healthy right now but there is some promising talent there. Still, nobody has totally outshone Jantjies just yet. Played some nice passes on Saturday and put in some monstrous touch finders. By far the best out of hand kicker of all the SA 10s on display.
Wingers, same deal. Willie has to be called back also. Failing that, I'd have Combrink play at 15. Guy just cant seem to fail, ever. And he can defend + read the game.
BUT...OMG we need 12 and 13 sorted out. Kwagga(Still with you on that one Beeno), JSVR and Kok. Maybe Kriel will continue to find form under Mitch and then ill back him. Will take a while before i'll put much trust in him.
Nah...lets go with De Allende. Truly world class by all accounts Poor Stormers man. Tough year ahead for them.

May 24, 2016, 01:24Saturday is high noon. Well I guess it all starts at 3.00 pm. But make no mistake this is a shoot out. Earlier this year in Bloem Etzebeth took 3 of Lomp's balls at the lineout. Lomp responded by taking two of Stephanie's balls, much as RG Snyman and Grant Hatting did last Saturday.
So now we are back to 2016 again when Mitchell was not around as yet. The jargon quoted is apparently not from an article written but you own response as useless as it comes - since your twisted hatred of some players is enough to get distortion on site,
Snyman was poor in the games he played in in 2016 and 2017 - he could not pass or catch a ball to save his life. All that was gone on Saturday and he was very good. De Jager also showed massive improvement - he scored a try and the last try of Schoeman came about largely of Kriel and him \ but not a word of him coming from you.
By the way is your spotting of Snyman based on that item of 2016? Then you really are talking BS - Snyman was discussed on this site since the Under 20 WC in 2014 - so you did not psot him at all. The problem with Snyman all along was that his ball skills were poor and that kept him out of consideration,
