There was a time in the early to mid 90s when Romania was a serious threat to the top teams, but they fell away as professionalism took hold and have never been the same. However, Romania, like Georgia, is a breeding ground for the worlds most powerful men. Would be nice to see them defeat France.

Romania has had some really good players Tincu, Gontineac,Fercu and now Florin Vlaicu who is world class...the same as Georgia especially loosie Mamuka Gorgodze who would be in any top rugby side in the world but they are very proud to play for their country... Dimitri Yachvili who played for France father was Georgian mother was French but his older brother played for Georgia in the era
Most of the top players play for French clubs...they do however lack numbers but certainly not toughness, strength and spirit...it would not surprise me if the Lelos give the Argies a fright

France pulled away towards the end of the game. Most minnow teams don't have depth & this is a problem in the last quarter. The lack of depth also hurts them when there are just a few days between games, e.g. Japan vs. Scotland.

In the end a comfortable win for France.

France & Ire have the easiest run up whilst poor minnow Japan (although they surprised) had the 2 harde st games in their pool...it is not surprising that they ran out of steam in second half against Scotland after their sapping game a few days earlier
Cannot blame Eddie Jones for being aggrieved
