Are they cancelling this year's Olympics..??


...am hearing due to the earth warming up we are getting more tropical diseases like Zika...so will this Zika virus with the potential to go pandemic kill the Olympics in Rio...?..not great news for sports lovers...will anyone turn up ?

Not sure there are many pregnant athletes competing....could effect the tourism though. Brazil can't catch a break.

 ...BBC is saying the Kenyans could withdraw from Rio due to Zika concerns...some US athletes also talking about a no show...


..apparently Zika can cause debilitating muscle and joint pain which is not exactly helpful to an athlete vying for gold.. but the good news is mosquitos are rare in August during the Brazillian winter..


...for Kiwi athletes more concerning is the sess pool where the rowing and sailing is being held at the Guanabara Bay and Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas..,

I do not think the Olympics will be cancelled - but that depends on developments over the next three months or so.  If there are more serious problems coming to the fore - the games may be moved rather than be cancelled, but that is an extremely un likely situation.
