With rare exceptions the scrumming this week was sub-standard.   The only two teams that look good in scrumming was the Brumbies and the Stormers.   The rest of the teams all struggled to assert themselves in scrumming and was generally sub-standard.
Taking into account the opposition - the worst performers in the relevant regard were the Crusaders, the Waratahs and the Sharks - the finalists and one of the semi-finalists last year.   No wonder all three teams lost their games - the first two not even able to get bonus point losses .   Amazing really.
