...Plenty of great footy on this weekend ...Sevens and Nines and then the Six Nations... such a hard life..

South Africa up soon in the Sevens...Fiji just finished demolishing Samoa - they could be the team to beat this weekend...

Currently England vs Kenya

...Anyone watch the Sevens on the weekend in Arstralia?

South Africa won the competition... very lucky NZ wasn't in the final otherwise we would have kicked your yarpy butts....

But seriously the Springboks could really use the Blitzbokkes fitness coach... Fitness wins games...Speed also helps and the Blitzboks have wheels..

Am looking forward to seeing Senatla play for the Stormers as well...

..they could really use his try scoring ability....will they give him the ball is the question...?

Senatla on one wing and Zas on the other and then just keep spinning the ball wide...you can't go wrong..

Sevens in Sydney was great but the Nines in Auckland was also very good...

South Africa should bring a Nines team to the Commonwealth Games next year in Brisbane...Nines is very much like Sevens except when you get tackled you play the ball...

Next year instead of hosting the Nines, Auckland will be either hosting the Tens or the Sevens....that's the way football is going by the looks given the death of Super Rugby ...to a shortened/ faster version of the game which will appeal more given reduced attention spans..

You do have a sense of humour - the only thing the AB Sevens will want to avoid aat all costs is an encounter with the Blizbokke.
I am sure the AB Sevens will improve with the new players they got - but they may lose and that would be a psychological set back,
It may not happen soon because in the next sevens game they would not meet them in the quarters as SA will be in Pool A and New Zealand in Pool C.   Pool A in the quarter - final will contest against Pool D teams.  Such a meeting will only be possible in the semis or final.
The team that showed drastic improvement this tournament was Russia and I would like to see how they progress in future.
By the way the Commonwealth Games will follow the lead of the Olympic Games and cater for Sevens and not other tournaments.   There is no Nine tournament in most countries and that means they willhave to change the situation.

...not so clevermike it could be all downhill for the Blitzbokke from now on with try scoring machine Senatla leaving to play Super18 for the Stormers...
...while NZ has gone from sixth to fourth in the space of only one tournament...looking good the NZ Sevens team from what i saw on the weekend ..some new blood gelling nicely..
...btw the Nines will be an exhibition sport at next years Commonweath Games on the Gold Coast...the Nines is here to stay so SA should get on board before all the rest of Africa leave you behind... like they the did with Afcon this year...
