Sharks and Bulls

Given the Sharks were without some key players, I thought they would struggle away against a top side like the Chiefs, but in fact the Sharks were marginally the better side.
Less of the kicking and the Sharks would have won it....too much good possession was conceded.....their style was reminiscent of the Meyer way....the poor way.
When the Sharks did run it they were great. I thought Chadwick and Cooper were good, Lewies was the best lock on the field, Oosthuizen has been good this season, does all the hard graft. The du Preez twins were great with their carries, two physical freaks who add plenty of go forward. Yes they need to work on their hands, that will come.....balls tend to get bumped or ripped out of their grasps.....technical thing. Daniel was busy as he always is
April had his best game, great try.......needs to cut out the odd poor kicks. Esterhuizen and Jordaan were fantastic in defence, had little opportunity with ball in hand. Esterhuizen had a few good physical take ups.
JP was solid, Mvovo a non entity. Willie was as good as always.
The Bulls keep rumbling forward, so refreshing watching them play an allround game under Marais, who obviously a coach who knows his stuff. Nyakane, Strauss and Marcel were fantastic all round....dominated in the scrums and played great rugby.
What a find RG Snyman is......not only is he huge, he is so bloody skillful...I feel for the Bok coach having to choose 3 locks on match day. Orrie was solid, good in the line-outs, but not physical enough.
Arno Botha had a fantastic game with ball in hand.....two try assists. Liebenberg showed his class, another for the future, good to see him back. Labs had another great game.
v/Zyl was good, Brummer solid, its the best you will get out of him. Imagine how much better the Bulls would have been had Pollard been fit?
Serfontein is a pleasure to watch again, getting better and better.....by far our best 12 right now.....showing signs of the player we know he is.......given the freedom to express himself under Marais.....unlike his time under Meyer and Ludeke.
Kriel was far less prominent than he last two outstanding outings, but he was full of good touches. I rate Ismiel, good addition to the Bulls, always seems to beat the first defender. Basson did little, why on earth is Ulengo not playing ahead of him.
SP was good at the back, but he lacks the zip of Gelant, will be good to have him back.
The SA sides keep marching on.....pity about the Sharks loss, they were good enough to win it....one of those missed kicks would have done it.  

Geez Dave they were playing the Rebels who haven't won against foreign opponents since the dove left Noah's ark. I will say Liebenburg was impressive, an U21 captain who is far speedier and in the Bok mold than CJ Stampkar. Obviously Snyman is test class and it was nice to see Arno Botha showing a bit of the form that got us all excited a few years back.

The Bulls have been good in most of their games this season regardless of opposition.
CJ Stander was awesome, one of Irelands best players.......pretty impressive test start......selected in the 6 Nations side of the comp.....which effectively makes you look pretty stupid would you not say?

 Stampkar in the 6 Nations team....hahaha. This is a king has no clothes moment. If anybody embodies dumb Stampkar rugby, it's the slow not so strong, CJ Stampkar. His instinct is to charge into the first tackle, not offload and go down. Bound to flop against the Boks.

What does he do well, I'm puzzled. All I see is a huge number of ineffective bash-ups. If I saw something I'd concede.

He was playing as a blindside flanker, who's job it was to carry the ball up in traffic, which he did effectively......gaining the same number of metres as the likes of Schalk, Lood, Etzebeth, Kirsten etc do each week.
I'm curious to know what exactly you expect from a blindside flanker playing in the 6N's?
Are you telling me the other blindside flankers were more effective
You don't seem to grasp the basics of what a 7 does
His role at Munster is completely different, for he mostly plays 8 for them
