Very interesting move by the sharks, they have now appointed Neill Powell to take over. Although, he is a sevens coach and I don't see how the two will match up. That said, the sharks were atrocious over the weekend getting nilled to 35 points.

Where as , you have Dobbo, shoe string budget and some Sharks Rejects that are now the URC top players. Everett been in the sharks system for 15 years, had a successful stint as an age group coach and should be familiar with the players coming through the system.

I do hope the Sharks can come back and be competitive. However, I wonder if this Roc nation has given the players a bit of an ego but also made the other player feel less worthy. Considering the money that is being paid to the big names like Kolisi, Bongi, Am, Etzebeth and Mpimpi but the other players probably feel that they are on peanuts and maybe not as motivated.

Any sharks fan on here have some insight as to what is going on at the sharks?

The Sharks Majority Shareholder is a USA company.   The real scenario is that they view failure as a business negative - so there goes the coach.

Snarkhole punted Everit as the best SA coach back before Covid kicked us all in the nuts.

Everet looked like the new kid on the block with a fresh approach. Good running rugby, whilst most SA teams were boring in SuperRugby.
Fast forward to 2022-3, SA teams are all playing a good brand of rugby in in the URC.
The Sharks form has slumped, to the point of being hammered scoreless at home.
Something was brewing in Denmark, and now he is toast.
When Neil Powell got involved in the Sharks, that appears to be when things started to go downhill. Perhaps a conflict of approaches between the two.

Indeed, I was just messing with you...the Sharks played good rugby in their las SR season and they were well placed on the log when SR got abandoned for Covid...funny how fast the fortune of a coach change.

As a side, you can buy a bunch of star players but it takes time to mold them into a team...it looks like the Sharks management expected instant results with their chequebook team...Powel will struggle too.
