I think this would be a better option. Lambie is too inconsistent when he plays at 10.
Pieterson is by no means exceptional- he just has a cool head. This has a calming effect on the team- instead of playing like headless chickens.

Lambie is not a flyhalf. He can sub in there for short stints, but has no flyhalf model. He is a decent defensive fullback. But no doubt the moment the Sharks lose, the put Lambie at 10 move will emerge. No ordinary player has ever enjoyed more support.

Joe Cool at 10 was the catalysts for the Cheetah win over the Sharks in last year's SR's first match and he had a decent S15 at 10 for the cheaters. Sharks can do worse at FH.

Exactly so Joe has a mature head. Seems to possess the necessary skills.

Let's hope the "latest 10 phenomenon" in SA rugby is coached properly & that expectations are managed. Too many have ended up on the scrap heap after exaggerated expectations & a "throw him in the deep end" approach.

Rubbish, Lambie is a proven test 10, his strength is his level head.......Lambie is not a 15, his best spot is 10 by a country mile. He will walk straight back into the side at 10, with Willie at 15......Joe will provide experience off the bench.....nice player but nowhere near as good at Lambie at 10 or Willie at 15.......no contest

Dream on Dave Lambie has NEVER put together a decent run at 10. He has had a few decent games off the bench....but never as a starter. Take the YE tour in 2014. A poor game against England saved by a decent goal kick and an easy drop......a poor effort against Italy saved by Pollard....and an inept match against Wales where he was totally outplayed by Biggar.
A slow Cruden at best.

Disagree, Lambie is a fantastic player......far better than Morne for instance......sadly we wasted many years on Morne, when that time should have been given to Pat....now Pollard has arrived who is potentially the best 10 in the game, so the chances of Lambie starting at 10 for the Boks is minimal.....but I'd be more than happy with him starting for the Boks at 10 if Pollard was not about....much as I would Jantjies, Goosen and young du Preez looks the real deal as well.
Pollards physicality gives him the edge, du Preez is a similar player, Lambie gives us a very mature head on young shoulders and plenty of skill. Goosen is a quality player messing up his career in France. Jantjies gives us flair and wonderful hands......his ability to create space for others is second to none
We have 5 great players at 10.......variety and skill.....big fan of all 5. Four are test material, my guess is du Preez is up there with them.
Disagree than Biggar outplayed him......Lambie won us the test against England

Willie Leroux will certainly be playing at 15. Lambie outside Joe Pieterson is an option. This would bring in 2 decision makers. Carthuzen is a strong ball carrier but he does not create much.

Lambie could never play 12, not physical enough.....the Joe/Lambie channel would be such an easy vulnerable target.......Esterhuizen has been good for the Sharks.......which 12's are creating much.......it just does not happen from structured backline play......defences are too structured.
Esterhuizen carries well and I have seen some good offloads from the lad.....he is going nicely for the Sharks
Lambie will be 10 with Willie at 15.....Joe will play off the bench.....Lambie is due back in May

De Jongh showed how clumsy Esterhozen really is.....4 tackles missed. And he wasn't any better on attack 4 runs/5 metres....no breaks, no defenders beaten. Joe has been the best Sharks back so far.

de Jongh did nothing of note......the only time he shines is when he plays 7's
Esterhuizen got very little ball to work with.....nature of the game
