Oh....so now UrineRooi want's everyone to get behind the poor apology of a Bok captain. No we don't, some of us choose to tolerate him.

Where was UrineRooi's support for Jake White in 2007? Some will remember his vitriol before and even long after the Boks won that WC. He'd written off the Boks before they left the shores of SA and then unashamedly gave JW no credit by going onto say that the Boks had beaten nobodies.

Filthy hypocrite.

Well Moffie ... your criticism of Redneck's team was expected ... you tend to criticize everyone's team ... except of course DeepThroat's feeble attempts ... (he must give some incredible head) ... and then in turn you'll try to dazzle us with your elderly brigade of hasbeens and neverbeens.

No ... I would not select Pollard at 12. He's matured and become the best thing we've seen at 10 for more than a decade and that is exactly where I would leave him ... I've said so before ... weren't you paying attention?

My choice at 12 would be Serfontein with Venter on his outside.

Willemse is a class act ... of that there's no doubt. Rassie should have given him a lot more time on the park. I would replace the overrated Willie Le Roux with him. He has a far better rugby brain than Silly Willy and isn't prone to the same level of stupidity.

Jean Luc Du Preez is a powerful blindside flank and has impressed at SR level. He too should have been given more of a chance to settle at 7 by Rassie. He didn't receive a fair shot at making the jersey his own.

Dan on the other hand isn't one that I'd include in the mix ... but then again ... who do we have that's compitent enough to take the 8 jersey? Duane Vermeulen? Haaaaahahahahahahahahaaaa!! NO THANK YOU!!

Maybe Marcell Coetzee should be brought in a little closer. I don't know ... the 8 jersey is till up for grabs.

Pieter Steff Du Toit is our best forward by some way and has really been impressive at 7 ... unlike the pathetic attempt we saw from Duane "The Hasbeen" Vermeulen.

It's great to know we have someone of his caliber to call on if need be. I would rather see him at 5 though ... oh ... and I said that earlier too ... weren't you patting attention, Moffie?

As for Kolisi ... Rassie has committed himself to the man and there is nothing we can do about it. I don't like Kolisi ... I have never likd him ... he is just as useless as Louw at 6 and totally clueless on how to lead a team.

He should be taken out back and shot at dawn as far as I'm concerned.

Oh ... I nearly forgot ... Poepol ... be so kind as to let us have your match 23.

Thanks a lot!!

Denny

I differ from you iro one selection and that is Wilco Louw.   He under-performed as a Tighthead in tests this year and there are question marks as  to his fitness and total lack of performance outside o scrumming  - so I agree with Erasmus  as to Malherbe being a better starting option.

As to Pollard - I would rather see him at 10 and Willemse at 12.  Pollard has a problem in  defending when playing at 12 and  Willemse in his junior years played either 10 or 12.   Mozart totally misinterpreted the issue of Willemse when he came on and according to him was out of position in one case, without regard to what happened in the preceding plays.  He was asked about that and went AWOL - but keep repeating the story endlessly on site.

Malherbe is useless in the tight loose. He contributes nothing other than leaning on his opponent in the set piece and as we've seen many times over is technically flawed.

We have issues at 3 ...

Carbuncle here's how I grade your revised effort at team building. Firstly, the notion that Willemse is a smarter fullback than Willie is a joke.....what, when he was so far out of position that the NZ penalty bounced out near our line and we lost the test? Get real. So you want Stepfontein, who is hardly setting France on fire at 12.....and Venter, a failed carthorse as the slowest test centre at 13. And that's supposed to be an improvement? You agree with me on Pollard after years of being a Maakniks man....well done, you finally get it. At blindside you want Jean Luc who was out of his depth in the first Pom test, leading to Stephanie ignominiously replacing him at minute 50, but that's all been forgotten, and suddenly he's the answer. The truth is Stephanie may do some good things but he isn't a complete flank or a complete lock....that remains an issue. My solution is to play him as a sub....he only has a good 20 minutes every game anyway. And then you accept the Kolisi decision while ranting about how the country is going down the quota tubes. Amazing you support the worst case...you are one confused fella! Gone are Gelant, Combrink, Vorster Maakniks, Dreyer, Kleintjie Kriel and Kwagga.....your 'obvious' selections of the past. Hell you were so convinced by Vorster it must be a blow. Still we have to be professional about this and not let charity sway us. My grade sadly has to be an F .....clueless would be a kind description.

Mozart

Nobody ever claimed that Willemse is a smarter full back than Le Roux - how did you dream that one up?   What you were asked you never answered.   With Le Roux playing the style of rugby he uses so successfully - where would he have been with the sequence of play preceding  the penalty borne in mind?    You refused to answer that question as you love to write simplistic BS without substance on site.

Your suggestion of Du Toit is the worst anybody ever evaluated player performances - the most  effective SA forward must be on the bench    That really is laughable total rugby ignorance based on petty hatred.

So - lets ask another simple question - who do you want as a loosie combination for the next test series?   You never provided an answer to that question other than you wat Du Toit out of contention.   So tell us whom you want at 6, 7 and 8?.

Your rating on that scale is total failure as a "P-", but that could move up if you answer the simple questions in this posting.

Answer 1....Le Roux would have understood the need to avoid a NZ try, he would have been in proper fullback position......and he certainly wouldn't have sauntered back. Willemse never understood the mission and the coaches failed to make it clear enough. Answer 2 ...Mostert at 7, Vermeulen at 8, undecided at 6.

Mozart

Are you really stupid or do you just being so when discussing rugby issues?    Have you ever watched where Le Roux is when the Springboks - or for that matter Sales - have possession of the ball.   It is always in a position where he can join up with the backline - so far away from where he would be when the opposition  has possession of the ball

To state that Le Roux would be in a position to catch the ball in this case is either foolhardy idiocy or complete and total BS.  Can you never follow players when it comes to positional play - especially a special player like Le Roux whose whole game on attack consists of joining the backline in attacking moves.  And the Springboks was in possession of the ball before the turnover resulting in the penalty.

Sure - Mostert at 7 - where he failed when the Lions on request of Erasmus tried him out and where he is not physically strong enough to play a role.   You obviously noted how many possession turnovers he has made at breakdowns and how many line-outs he has taken on opposition throw-in in lineouts .  The answer to both is ZERO.

But you obviously also have not taken note of the substandard performances of Vermeulen in the third test in June - his decision to skip the RC and his below par performances in the EOYT tests.   Is he still up to standard as a player to be selected on a basis of performance?

Mozart - Mozart - Mozart - your rating is near to zero when it comes to player performance evaluation.

Just for the hell of it I'm going to try one more time to make a civilized response. Firstly Willie is an attacking fullback it's true. But he is an experienced Springbok, and in the last two minutes of the test with the winning points on the board, my guess is his focus would have been far more on making sure we never left ourselves vulnerable than attacking the opponent. Then on the loosies. I see Vermeulen being written off by some. But he never had a bad test this season and frankly was huge against the Poms and in the second half against France. Undoubtedly he is more vulnerable than in years past, but can he be preserved in good shape for the 3 or so WC matches that really count.....I believe so. With regard to 7, I would prefer a blindside specialist, but none of our blindsiders look test ready. So we have to consider Stephanie or Mostert....and I pick Mostert because he is the smarter player, who sticks closer to the breakdown and is by far the better back of the lineout option. I see Stephanie as best deployed at 5 for 20 minutes off the bench....more of an impact player. As far as 6 is concerned none of Liggies, Coetzee, Kwagga, Kleintjie Kriel,Cloete, van Staden or Kolisi have shown enough to have any confidence. Louw is a pro and I think his experience would be valuable off the bench, as we saw again vs France. But somebody inside or outside that group needs to put up their hand in the Super season....it's silly to pretend that any of them have made a clear case. .... Others may see things differently....that's why it's called a forum.

You guess is totally imaginary.   There is now ay that your imagination would count anything when reality takes over.   You have had so many imaginations in what you write on site that it is really an impossibility to believe you in this case.

Would Le Roux hang back when the Springboks have the ball and is attacking in the AB half of the field?   Not on your nelly - it would not happen - so happy imagination to you.

Now for the following quote from you which I did not comment on - even though it has an impact on the loosie issue:-

"The truth is Stephanie may do some good things but he isn't a complete flank or a complete lock....that remains an issue. My solution is to play him as a sub....he only has a good 20 minutes every game anyway."

The 20 minute issue is one of the most amazing things I have ever read on site.   I do know you have a classical ability to dream up things - but this is really amazing BS.   Do you really believe that it happens?    I can understand it if you refer to low work rate players like Vermeulen and Etzebeth here - but Du Toit who is the highest work rate forward in the team - amazing imagination to create BS.

Now lets get to  Vermeulen and what he achieved in the tests he played in where I claimed he failed:-

3rd June test against England

Most people I\on site was not impressed with what Vermeulen achieved in that test so lets look at his ESPN stats:-

Balls passed                     -           1

Balls carried                     -           8

Meters gained                  -           13

Defenders beaten             -             1

Turnovers conceded        -             2

Tackles made                  -              8

England

Vermeulen 0/0 0 0/2/9 27 0 1 0 0 6/1 1/0 0 0/0

France

Vermeulen 0/0 0 0/2/11 29 0 0 1 0 7/2 2/0 0 0/0

Scotland

Balls passed                     -           0

Balls carried                     -           9

Meters gained                  -           39

Defenders beaten             -             0

Turnovers conceded        -             2

Tackles made                  -              5

Tackles missed                               2

Wales

Vermeulen 0/0 0 0/0/7 39 0 0 0 2 5/2 0/0 1 0/0

Summary

I find nothing good about the above stats.   Vermeulen as an 8 often cover kicked balls and run a few meters until he gets to the defenders and then goes down virtually immediately.  Wit all the carries he beat a total of 1 defender in 5 tests?   Definitely not good enough.

He conceded 6 turnovers in the five tests.  In two tests he conceded no turnovers - in the other three two per match.  Definitely poor.

Vermeulen made 33 tackles missing 7 in FIVE TESTS.    This from a player who supposedly is a loosie - an average of 5,6 tackles per game with a missed tackle ratio of 17,5.    Too high for a loosie with that low count in defense.  The much maligned by you Du Toit  made 29 tackles missing 2 in two of the EOYT tests.   Even in the French test where Du Toit played at 4 - he made 6 tackles missing 1.   So what was his figures in THREE TESTS:-

Tackles  made           -          35

Tackles missed          -            4

Average number of tackles    11,67

MTR                          -           10,26

JUST A MAJOR QUESTION -   YOU CLAIMED  DU TOIT PERFORM ONLY FOR 20 MINUTES IN GAMES - SO IS VERMEULEN ALLOWED TO PERFORM ONLY AT 10 MINUTES DURING GAMES?  SHOULD VEREMEULEN BE AN IMPA CT PLAYER USED FROM THE BENCH FOR 10 MINUTES PER GAME.

Sorry to expose you so horribly - try to get your prejudice out of the way and everybody will learn from you about rugby - prejudice nullifies your rugby knowledge totally.

How many defenders tackled Duane? Which part of the defence did he attack? Who were the cleaners? How many turnovers were the result of handling errors? Which tackles should he have made, you can reference his most recent test for convenience. Until you have answers for these questions, we really don't learn anything from the numbers you post. Stats are the first stage of an analysis, not the last. You think you've pointed out some issues, now you need to investigate them and bring your findings here. If you are onto something, I'd be interested to see where it leads.

By the way, Steph leads the entire Bok squad for missed tackles.

I don't think Moffie and his Servile Gimps are capable of selecting a Springbok match 23. They probably wouldn't be able to name 23 players.

Their expertise is in trying to belittle other posters and having a little snigger at everyone else's predictions or team selections. That's what they do well so rather leave them to it. You'll probably have to make some kind of apology for even asking Moffie to put up his squad.

Dimnest  AO

He also made a hell of a lot more tackles than anybody else and how did you get to that BS statement you came up with - dimness?   Another sweeping statement you cannot prove - like so many similar statement by Mozart and co..  According to one calculation by you dimness Du Toit played in 14 tests making 171 tackles and missing 31.   So let me work that out:-

Average tackles per game    -    12,21

Missed tackle ratio               -     15,35

That is not the issue dimness.   For a loosie to make 33 tackles missing 7 in 5 tests means he has missed the count by at least another 5  tackles a game to be of any use AS A LOOSIE.

So lets compare that with Vermeulen   with his average 5, 6 tackles per game and his missed tackle ratio of 17,5.   Since when is an average tackle count of 5,6 better than 12,21 and a missed tackle ratio of 17,5 better than 15,35.

The rest of you statement is utter normal AO Bullshit as per normal. .

Well one wants to put some thought into a match 23....or simply admit certain positions are not resolved. Maturity and candor vs breathless hype. Then there's the most shameful thing, defending the selection of Kolisi as captain....initiated by Rooi Urine and unctiously supported by Turncoat who is so anxious for approval he abandons his whole history. And in the background we have the mad symphony of Tokkie's rugby views....played over and over again. The barking dogs in mid season form.

Now the personal attacks is all the answer one can get from the rugby illiterates,   This is getting funnier by every new post made.

But then the limitless imaginations of idiocy displayed by Mozart which -

*    becomes stronger with every player he hates in the team;  and

*    find imaginary reasons to cover real flops and not imaginary ones,

kicks in with a vengeance.

One has to reach a logical conclusion - the rugby idiocy of the Village Idiots led by Mozart reach higher levels with every imagination Mozart dreams up.  His fellow idiots are even too stupid to do that.
