Any strategy will work if you are playing poor enough opposition. I have seen nothing in the Sharks or Lions wins which imply they have cracked the code in a way more spirited opposition couldn't have negated.
At the end of the day a big,  power pack and strong defence will dominate all these flippy passes. They work when you are on the front foot, and are an important part of an overall portfolio of weapons. They aren't a dominant weapon. If we try phase play against the ABs in our 22, we will be blown out of the water just as the robotic Jags were today.
Rugby has been a revolving door between defence, forward power and creative attack.....forever. No one element will ever dominate.

 Well, me pointing out that Beeno is now converted to NZ's style of rugby wouldn't help matters

 Jw no more delusions please as Moz is struggling and youare not helping as per usual.I have always spoken about balanced rugby for years.Dr Mozzzzz has been made captive by old bulle rugby kick and charge rugby with spindly 105 kg locks and heavens knows what else! Hahahahahahahahahahaha

 Mozarts view of the biggest rugby sin is not to pass the ball to backline players.  Today we had two classical examples where comprehensive rugby was played.   However,, in the second half against the Kings - the Sharks changed their game plan in the second half and started to play by passing the ball among their forwards and it never went beyond April when he came on to replace Esterhuizen.   That virtually cut out the scoring of tries in the second half.
The game played by the Stormers and the Bulls were classical Bulls rugby - so much admired by Mozart.  The loosies take over the function of the flyhalf and the ball is manhandled by forwards with minimal effect.   That has been disastrous for the Stormers and should never be the case - especially since their loosies are sub-standard.  Mozart talks about winning of Super 15's by the Bulls - but he is totally clueless about the fact that since the last win - the game has developed further and the rubbish that used to be played de pending virtually entirely on penalties represents losing rugby.         

 I'm talking about test rugby not touch rugby. The Jag defence was abysmal.

 You are talking of the test rugby Meyer forced the Springboks to play - losing against teams like Argentina and Japan, as well as Wales and Ireland.     
You always try and find an excuse when your theory about rugby is proven wrong.   By now you should have learnt that backline players passing balls is not the mortal rugby sin you think it is
