Top Carriers (m):

Australia: Kellaway 96

Boks: Van Staden 37

NZ: Jordan 36

The Argentina stats show under how much pressure they were - Australia challenged them to tackle 223 times vs the Aussies 125 times. Still they got the best meters per run, showing how effective they are at finding and using space.

The All Blacks this weekend was the team who put boot to the ball the most, while also getting only 2m per run, hinting at playing a very tight game with most carrying taking place in contact.

Boks had the worst tackle success, with Moodie, Pollard, Van Staden and PSDT missing 3 or more tackles. Also fewest offloads.

How strange is this, the roles are reversed. OZ and Pumas are on top of most stats.

The most worrying part is Bok tackle success. Our strong defence has deteriorated and causing us to loose.

Flannery,s defensive structures, is not of the same quality as Nienhaber,s. Hopefully we will be better next WE.

Rassie needs to seriously consider different options to improve our Defence ASAP.

The Bok defence has had problems for many years Mpower. Not too many great tacklers one v one. You'll often find that the Boks defend better against one dimensional patterns as a group but when you start making them think, moving them around, using misdirection, or isolating them, they look a bit ragged. The boys also looked a lot more fit around the second time Erasmus coached the Boks.

Statistically the Bok/NZ game was very even….NZ did slightly better in terms of tackle success and turnovers won. The last one by Savea probably decided the match.

NZplayed very conservative rugby and I think it made life more difficult for them.
