Nienaber still doesn't get it....

Yes, we could have taken the conservative route and stuck with the same side, but what if that side had lost ... games against Wales are always so close... and then we would have not learned about our greater squad.

I've lost faith in him, he should have remained the Bok defensive coach.

I get his point - if they had played the strongest side again in the second test and lost then he would not have been able to field his B side in the series deciding 3rd test But should 14 changes have been made - no there was certainly no need to have included the likes of useless Orie, Elstadt etc Test matches should be about selecting your best side for the most and introducing new players in no more than 5 players in the match 23 What on earth did he learn from the 14 players on Saturday in a one off test - sweet fuck all

You're going to learn sweet all by having your players play the same robotic shit week in and week out anyway.

Dave, like so......

Have to agree Draad, I would have gone the conservative way, meaning a blend of youth and experience in all three games with say around 60 - 70% experienced and say around 40-30% newbies/inexperienced. I'm not knocking the skillset or potential of the youngsters but it wouldn't surprise me one bit if the Boks lose this one.

and so....

Well, there's 14 changes to the side and a couple of newbies......is there anyone who seriously expects this new team to gel and win? Pray please tell I'm all ears.

All I'm saying is that there is a better way to make changes to the team without the risks that's now involved but you know, in Greek mythology the Thorn Bird impales itself.

Agreee with you on this one Denny.   Some of the players used have failed in the past and failed again on Saturday.   It is a gamble to play them in any side and the approach of the selectors were faulty and  in a way irresponsible.

In fact it would put additional pressure on the players selected for the Saturday test and is not g oing to move the motivation for playing positive rugby forward.

Hahaha You have no choice, I had it spot-on before the game.......not in hindsight.

Something else, Wales is an average side.

I've also said that it would be unfair to assess a players performance based on the makeup of the team but I single out Kurt Lee Arendse who punched above his weight in both defence and attack.

Vermeulen will be sorely missed.

The Boks need an attacking coach.......MainDik-Stick is way out of his depth and so also is Nienaber.

He cost us the game with his dumb selections.

Agreed and Hendrikse did well too...much better than could have been expected.

Spot on….hahaha….the game was no different to the game the previous week. In fact we did much better on relative territory and metres gained. The only difference was Anscombe landed a great kick.

Stop lying Quisling….you inferred a wipe out and in fact the B team was better than Wales everywhere but on the scoreboard. What a tit!
