  1. Nyakana - was he on the pitch?     - 2/10

  2. Bongi  -  out of form, minimal contribution  - 3.5/10

  3. Flab Malherbe - 3/10 - Game was too fast for him.

  4. Eztebeth - 4/10  Isolated himself and tried to crawl on the floor.

  5. Corrie - 0/10. A total joke. Too weak to take the hit on lineout drives. Buggered up the chances to create rolling mauls

  6. Kolisi  - 3/10 (Nowhere to be seen at the breakdown). No other contribution.

  7. Mostert - 5/10

  8. Vermeulen - 5.5/10  (Not in form yet).

  9. Faff - 5 /10 -  Made a few up and unders, otherwise nowhere for most of the match. Gave away a stupid penalty. Did get involved in the Bok try.

  10. Pollard - 5/10 : Struggling to get his backline running. Is it him or/and Delande? Missed tackles, and looks unsure of himself or/and the game plan

  1.  Mapimpi - 4/10   - No opportunity within the pathetic game plan.

  1. Delande  1/10. The most one-dimensional player in test rugby. He walks into tackles. His defence has been a shambles as he has been carved up by the sharp Kerevi.

  2. AM - 6/10 - One of the few players for the Boks that was not useless.

  1. Nkosi - 1/10: Most of the space was on the Nkosi wing. They clearly targeted that area. His positional play is pathetic. Does not understand the Nienaber defensive model.

  1. Willie Leroux  - 5/10  Australia used the touchline to crab his attacking movements, and with that any chance of backline attack for the Boks.

  2. Macro Van Staden - 4/10.
  3. Wiese - 1/10  - Another yellow card.

  4. Koch - 2/10 - useless

  5. Marx - 6/10 - The Springbok man of the match.

  6. Kitshoff - 2/10: Useless. He has not been in form for ages.

  7. Kwagga - 2/10- Knock on accident waiting to happen. Not strong enough in contact.

  8. Jantjies- 2.5/10 - An up and under that went backward and lost meters. Another knock-on, and just looked out of touch. He is not playing his natural game.

Overall, the team was pathetic at protecting the ball at the ruck, and the number of unforced errors like knock on’s was not test-standard. The passing was poor, and the team did not play as a unit. It was just isolated individuals allowing the Ozzie's to pounce at the rucks. The Boks seem incapable of throwing a pass for a teammate to run onto at pace. Instead, they are in stationary positions, or the ball is thrown behind them.

Nienaber - 0/10  -  He is not experienced enough to coach the side without Rassie. The game plan was shocking, and when the Boks did run the ball, they were like headless chickens. The players had no confidence in the game plan and Dave Rennie has trained the Wallabies to destruct the Bok game plan. It is almost like the Boks went on tour without a head coach.

Well done to Australia. They are looking like a well-coached outfit, and they could be on the way back to a top 5, or even a top 3 team.

Mostert was definitely not worth 5.

The certain changes that need to be made for next week are

1. Delande
2. Nkosi (he does not understand the Nienaber defense system - at least as a winger- and looked out of place. He seems to not rush up fast enough, or too fast, or he was just missing.

The opposition has seen Delande play so much for the Boks that they have worked out how to shut him out of the game.

An inside center that can pass is needed.
Frans Steyn is too old. Esterhuizen is probably the only option the Boks have- but they can't call him up because of Covid.
Maybe shift AM to inside center and put Nkosi at 13. It would be a major gamble - but there has to be something new.
Or put Elton Jantjies at 10 and put Pollard at 12. Or even Morne Steyn at 10, and Pollard at 12.
Or even the bus driver instead of Delande.

Give Willemse a chance at 12….he is a better defender, kicker and runner than Dud.

Wow, big call.

"

And he did what exactly? Also made a few errors and stuffed up atleast one throw.

It’s a big call with the ABs coming up…..it should have been tried against the Bargies. So it’s probably an AB test 2 idea if we bomb in test 1. The defense on the Aussie wing last week was pretty intuitive and accurate….far better than Dud did in exactly the same circumstances this week. Willemse got the timing right, Dud went too early.

The problem is Delande. He is like a Zombie doing the same thing over and over. Everyone knows what he is going to do, even before he does.

A new inside center is needed. Delande could be a bench player until a semblance of form returns, or another option is found.
It is about slotting someone into inside center than understands the defensive system, and being part of a combination with Pollard and AM.

Willemse may be the best option as he has a good pass, and he can take a gap - and physical enough to make front-on tackles as required by an inside center.

AM would be better with an inside center that has some playmaking ability. He needs more opportunity with the ball in hand. Or AM could shift inwards to inside center, with a new outside center.

Possible Combinations: (Flyhalf - inside center - outside center)

Pollard - Willemse - AM
Pollard - AM - Willemse/Nkosi (AM at inside center).
Pollard - Frans Steyn - AM
Pollard- The Bus Driver - AM

Elton Jantjies - Pollard - AM
Morne Steyn - Pollard - AM

Form isn't an issue. This is the very ceiling of his ability. Flatlining for eight to nine years is a big enough sample size to put the myth to rest for good.

Mostert is worth no more than 2/10 and that is liberal.    .   Tackles made 6  tackles missed 3.  Mostert is unable to make open-field tackles and where he miss those type of tackles  normally lead to tries being scored.   .

Limp missing 5 and being run ragged numerous times, being unable to track runners, is better? Or the Steph rush into nowhere at no one, leaving a huge void to run into? No perspective. Steph has the most missed tackles of the José reign, and the quality of his and Limp's tackles aren't particularly great at that. Ende.
