A pleasant surprise...good squad including Garth April who has played very well for the Sharks in Pat's absence and this makes good sense especially as Silky Hands is injured...cannot be too bad as no doubt he will be ok for later games.

 Mike has listed the quota players.
Personally I cant see how Notche and Kolisi make the squad either.. 20% of squad is quota with a quota coach as well.   Compare what Alistair has achieved to Akkers and co.

Overall a good squad other than a few quota's to carry the bags.I am glad that very few players are playing overseas. Any close decision should go to the local player.

Pretty much spot on. Kitshoff will be a welcome return- and he will be starting to get into his prime. Geat to see Jannie Duplessis has been exposed off. Bismaark is maybe a bit unlucky- but it is time to start building a new team.
Marx is  a surprise ommision- but he is in he A team and he is still young

Not bad. I am glad Nizaam karr is not in the squad. He was a one season wonder.
Schalk is gone- but he is injured. I think it is time to move on from Schalk. All the opposition know to expect the carry up by SchalkVermeulen is fortunate to be in the squad- given he will never make it to the next world cup. 
Kolisi would not be my choice. He seems to be a totally independent in what he does instead of following a game plan. What he does is good- but his overall work rate is not high enough

 A little disappointed that Ackers didn't make the squad. Let's face it, he's far superior to the two Stormers hookers.

Over all, not to shabby.

 Fair and balanced comments, Sharkbok. There isn't anything I could add other than to say I'm glad Pienaar and Habana have been left out and that Whiteley has been given another shot. Pretty bold move to have included Garth April who might surprise a few, I'm on record for saying that he's shown some good touches and is a work in progress. I would have left out Willie Le Roux and JP Peterson, the latter be far too slow and old come the next RWC. A few quotas but hey, can't knock the coach, it's a numbers game.

 Cant see you guys having too many problems doing over the wee Irish chaps with that team .Good luck to your boys for the tests ,some NH heads need deflating from what I see in NH forums .

Looks like a good Bok squad, should help reduce the levels of anguish we have heard since the RWC.
I agree Wardad, Boks should be able to handle the Irish, I look forward to hearing SA fans chest-beating, it should result in better banter

I'm happy with the squad, to be honest. There's some bad calls in there obviously such as Ntubeni/Mbonambi included at the expense of Marx. Unfortunately I don't think Coetzee had the choice on some, as his hands were tied in meeting certain criteria. 

On the whole though, a step in the right direction...let's see what we get on the pitch though!

 PSDT out injured...Hamstring, out 2 to 6 weeks. Replaced by Mostert in the Bok squad.
