Vaai with the most idiotic of penalties, holding on to Cam on the ground. Man the ABs are kak on discipline.

Stupid penalty given away by the ABs...that was a huge chance to get back into the game but the ABs can't help wanting to fucking cheat

Jasper knocks on but the ref was playing advantage . . . back for a Bok scrum.

And knock on in the tackle on Jasper and the Boks get a scrum. We need a penalty from this scrum

See Cam hunting down Jordan on the outside - the value of having pace there.

Kurt-Lee scores the try of the match, stepping 3 or 4 defenders and streaking away. That should be game . . . but hang on, they're checking something.

Boks in completely a different class as the ABs. It's not even close. ABs have been living off scraps this entire game.

Had Sacha been better in the first half this could have been a bigger score

In the grand scheme of things, these three victories take a chunk out of the AB win record over the Boks

Crappies was excellent, so too Kurt who is probably MOTM. Cam was instantly impactful when he came on and I remain in awe of him.

Who gets man of the series?

Crappeis gets MOTM

As for the All Blacks, way, way too many weaknesses. Poor scrum, poor discipline, terrible under the high ball, little to no dominance in the tackles and collisions. Some poor selections as well - Blackadder, to name one, is so much better on tonight's evidence than Luke Cheaterson. ALB was a non-entity as he's been all tour, why did he even start in this game?

I thought Roigard redeemed himself tonight, a competitive and fired up performance.

Got to give it to Manie.

I was one of those that counted him out. But he's come back strong. I'm happy for him. He doesn't party, doesn't drink a drop and is a consummate pro.

Pakie
Captain18,289 posts
Pakie12 Sept 2026, 23:22

Still flimsy in the tackle but right now he makes a hell of a lot more happen than Sacha. Don't know what to make of Sacha. It really feels like he is playing one game and the rest of the team is playing another. About the only time he slotted effectively into anything was with that break down the touchline started by Krappies.

Plum
Captain22,019 posts
Plum12 Sept 2026, 23:25

@Pakie Matfield said Sacha is suffering from second year syndrome. Which I assume is where your second full season is normally a dip. The way Matfield said it was kinda like it was a known/expected thing.

I think Sasha isn't allowed to play how he wants and so he gets stuck in the middle of instinct and instruction.

Pakie
Captain18,289 posts
Pakie12 Sept 2026, 23:30

@Plum could be. Of course Beeno would say Pap Matfield never got out of second year syndrome, haha.
