Before the game last night Stade Francais played in three games and in the process collected ONE bonus point.  Last night they beat Ospreys by 12 - 3

The only substantial team change was that More Steyn was removed from the team altogether - he was not even on the bench.   Nicolas Sanchez played his first game for Stade last night - with Plisson on the bench.   Was that th e real reason for at last recording a win?

So how come they have the gorgeous total of 1 point on the log  to which a further 4 points is given for the game last night.

Go and check the log on ESPN.   3 games played - 1 point on log.   I am sure you are mixing it up with a Top 14 game - so do your homework properly birdbrain.

Please note that Montpellier is not playing in the European Challenge Cup - they are in the European Chmpions Cup  Know the difference dimness?

Why do you get constantly a foolish BSter when it comes to your hero MS?

The only substantial team change was that More Steyn was removed from the team altogether - he was not even on the bench.

On the left is the Stade Francais lineup in the 51-20 loss against Ospreys, and on the right is the one that beat Ospreys. Yes, one can clearly see that Morne Steyn being left out was the only substantial change to the losing side

@Mike. My bad. Sorry. You are correct. I checked all of the SF games on Flashdcores but this is the irony. I checked all the SF results some time ago. Up to before this game. MS started in eight Top 14 games so far and in one he came on in the first ten minutes. If you include that game as one of his starting games, they have won five of the nine. Jules Plisson started in 5 games. Of those five they only won one. If you add the one where MS came on in the first ten minutes, Plisson figures go up to two wins out of six.

And, BTW, this is what happened to SF in the challenge cup so far: Game 1 v Worcester. SF lost 27-38. Flyhalf- Jules Plisson. Game 2 v Pau. SF lost by 15-21. Flyhalf Jules Plisson. Game 3 v Ospreys. SF lost by 21-50. Flyhalf MS. Game 4 v Ospreys. SF won by 12-3. Flyhalf Sanchez.

Frankly it depends which games were won and which lost - the normal situation is you lose against stronger teams and win against weaker ones.

However, what I dealt with is specific - the string of losses in the European Challenge Cup competition - which it is alleged  is more on the CC level in SA - while the Champion Cup is nearer to the Super Rugby level.

Furthermore I refer to the fact that Nicholas Sanchez has started to play for Stade Francais at flyhalf.   He is 10 times the flyhalf Steyn ever was or will be.   His selection at 10 will have huge benefits for the club.

Fact is if  Snachez is available there is no chance of Morne ever starting for Stade Francais again and about a 10% chance that he would be on the bench.

No, your post was all about pinning the win on the absence of Morne Steyn by trying to sell the lie that his absence was the only noteworthy change made to the team, when in fact the starting lineup featured 13 changes and a positional change compared to the previous one.

Typical Tokkie tactics....14 changes in the team and he tries to pin it all on Morne. At this stage Sanchez is one of the best flyhalves in the game and Morne is 34 years old. I would expect Morne to be serving off the bench as he phases into retirement after a fabulous career.

No - Pakie

A while ago Sharkbok gave an account of huge losses by Stade Francais over the last three months.    Neither of the Morne and Meyer fans reacted to it - because it was true.

I then wrote about the Stade Francais match against Osprey yesterday and certainly the most important change was bringing in Nicolas Sanchez,

So to make you happy I will agree with you that there was a vast difference between the teams Meyer selected for the succwessive two matches -  but that is typically Meyer,   He apparently panicked after the huge loss suffered the previous week and made major changes to the team, but one of the major anmes that vanished completely from the day squad was Morne Steyn.  Most of the other changes relate to \using of previous bench players to start.

Sanchez will certainly make a positive difference, he is one of the best in the business. But when you make 13/14 changes to a side, pinning the difference on one player without even having seen the game is a stretch. Turning around a 21-50 loss to record a win within a week hints at a hell of a lot more improvement than a change at flyhalf.

“Furthermore I refer to the fact that Nicholas Sanchez has started to play for Stade Francais at flyhalf. He is 10 times the flyhalf Steyn ever was or will be. His selection at 10 will have huge benefits for the club. ” You have this chronic habit of attributing a team win or less to one particular player depending on where he falls on your love/hate scale. Go check the facts. I have listed them for you. By your yardstick. MS is the more “successful” flyhalf at SF this far in this season. He has “won” more games than the live of your life, Jules Plisson. So, if Sanchez is to become the new flavour of the month, then MS is set to become the 2018/19 bench player to make way for Sanchez with JP, as the least successful, dropping out. That is, of course, if one was to follow your warped logic.

Ceradunce

Sorry - but you are totally lost in BS.   Sanchez this year was the best flyhalf in the RC - more or less on par with Sexton.   Morne never was anything on that level.   Even at his best he was pathetic,   No - when Stade Francais lost with Morne around - it looks like cricket than rugby score losses,

Plisson was on the bench onm Satirday and Morne nowhere to be seen,   That is likely to continue.

“A flyhalf is the most influential player on the field, and often the difference between winning and losing.....” I would not totally disagree on that. Now could you explain that to Tokkie with some examples? I tried it but it didn’t work. The examples I used were the number of games SF won this season, with MS starting as opposed to the ones they won with Plisson starting. I used my librarian skills to look up the numbers. Give me a shout if you need help with the numbers

Ceradimness

No need tp get a hissy fit about me stating the real facts about Morne with reference to Stade Francais.   No need to convince me of what Draad wrote - he is as per normal correct.  However, go and see how your fellow BS spreader Mozart praise Morne for being the difference between how they win matches while he was the flyhalf and loss more after his departure,

It was SB who wrote about how Stade Francais deteriorated after initially showing some encouraging signs after Meyer became their coach,   Why did you dimness not respond to that thread - but when  I continued in the same vein you go bananas,

No Ceradunce.   When Plisson started the losses was by much smaller margins - when Morne started it represented a total performance collapse.

My heading was correct - my assessment of Morne was correct - your claim that in the Challenge Cup against Montpellier was utter BS.

Uhmmm, unlike you, I immediately confirm that I got it wrong about Montpellier, didn’t I? Now, in typical Tokkie style you start moving the goalposts, once again, the minute you find yourself nicely painted into a corner. This was what you said in your OP: “The only substantial team change was that More Steyn was removed from the team altogether - he was not even on the bench. Nicolas Sanchez played his first game for Stade last night - with Plisson on the bench. Was that the real reason for at last recording a win? “ Nothing about the rest of the changes to the team. Nothing about any of the other Challenge Cup games. Most importantly..... nothing about farking winning margins. Gaan pis en gaan rus, ou Bokbal.

Never in a corner - I said very clearly -

*    that  Morne in the one game he started in was as per normal useless - hence the huge margin of the loss in that game;

*    that Sanchez made a huge difference in the team and that he is a top flyhalf - one of the best in the world and a huge improvement on Meyer.

So what did I say was wrong about the scenario bird brain?

Dumbas

We all know of your constant defense of the indefensible when it comes to Morne Steyn and your efforts to divert attention away from the poor flyhalf performance for Stade Francais in the European Challenge Cup by Morne - especially the last huge loss against Osprey - and trying to diminish the role of Nicolas Sanchez in the win against Ospreyes on Friday - that clearly indicates what you think of Morne and Sanchez.

You clearly indicate by the above that according to you Morne is a better flyhalf than Sanchez - so stop your constant bickering and  start thinking for a change.

Your whole approach suggested that - an attack on Plisson - praise-singing of Morne and your disdain of Sanchez making a positive contribution to the game on Friday,

Maybe I should forget about your constant idiocy on site and accept that you have no idea opf the game of rugby.

You should join Mozart under another thread where he said Morne was the best flyhalf we have had and bemoaning the fact that he was dropped by his braai pal Meyer.  Remember how he compared Morne with Carter and how Morne was written up by him as  comparable to C arter.   That level of discussion makes this site a joke - an idiotic joke - but nevertheless a joke.  .

Just get back to what happened in this case.   The heading was clear - so it s end you into a spin.  The comparisons between the two Osprey games played by Stade was clear too.   The first one a huge loss when Morne played and the second a win when Sanchez played,

The situation was obvious on your side.   You went ballistic in your efforts to divert attention away from what actually happened.  The total effort on your part was to  protect the images of your heroes Meyer and Morne.    In the process you really tried to divert attention away from Sanchez.

So do not try continuation of diversion  and accept that both Meyer and Morne did not cover them in glory in the Challenge Cup series which are the real FACTS  in this case.

"Just get back to what happened in this case."

Yeah... Let get back to "what actually happened".

What actually happened was that you were boring the shit out of many with your constant hate campaigns against certain players. Morne's been out of the picture for quite long and you still have not gotten over him.(Did he reject your advances?) So extreme is your hatred, that you grab on to the smallest little argument, while at the same time ignoring the fact that there were 13 other changes to the starting line-up (and to make this even worse you intentionally lie and I quote "The only substantial team change was..."

Generally if other posters posted this, it may have been seen as baiting. But your track record of lying, combined with your hate list (Steyn, Steyn and Alberts in particular), proves quite the opposite. The we could also add your complete lack of knowledge as it relates to valid and invalid arguments (also part of your proven track record).

In all the time, I've been reading here I have not once see you back up ANY of your OPINION with verifiable data, or arguments. Quite the opposite in fact. Just about every opinion that you uttered have been disproved by data, statistics, photos, video clips, general knowledge, or subject related knowledge.

  1. You don't know the difference between a ruck and a maul
  2. You don't know anything about basic defensive alignment
  3. You don't know how the different defensive systems work
  4. You don't know when they are applied
  5. You are unable to identify attacking patterns
  6. You don't know the primary functions of the various positions in a rugby team
  7. You don't know what skills are required to perform those functions
  8. You don't now anything about the interactions between coaches and players
  9. You have also never coached any team to any level of success
In short you know nothing about rugby, except for what some people wrote in newspapers (people also not involved in the game at a first-hand level).

When I read your posts I usually cringe with embarrassment on your behalf. Empty cans do rattle the most!

I leave you with this quote from Ricky Gervais, as it fully applies to you: "When you are dead, you do not know you are dead. It's only painful & difficult for others. The same applies when you are stupid."

O - the Trooth Fairy started a thread about hatred of players not realizing that I was delaing with the same issue that Mozart raised in another thread on the dreadful Morne Steyn's performance as a test player.    I pointed out that Meyer was not performing well as Stade Francais coach - FACT and based on actual performance neither was Steyn doing well enough.

Huge problem for the Fairy - it goes way beyond him/her understanding of the fact that my comments are based on actual performance problems and not hatred of any players or coaches.  That remains the problem on site - one dare not discuss any objective performance problems when the BS started gushing out from the admirers of their favourite players - normally based on personal atatcks on anybody who dares to write about the true situation.

Then follows a list of 9 "Don't Knows".   One do not want to laugh or cry about what this foolish idiot could dream up.  What does he/she knows about the various issues listed,  Worse than nothing.   All the wonderful plans dreamed up by AO and copied from coaching manuals nearly never happened in practice and one can see with your own yes why things do not happen.

The whole show is a tragedy of total ignorance when it comes to crucial positions in rugby and they do not for instance know what underperformance of a lock resulted in reducing the Tight 5 to a  Tight 4.   They do not know how driving mauls is formed and co-ordinated.   They do not know what the difference is when it comes to the need for variation of play in games.   They do not know what is wrong why ball possession is handed over by poor kicking - accordance to them there is no such thing as poor kicks.

One has to wonder how they get to that state of desperation in attacking fellow posters - who point out player deficiencies.   Their hatred of certain players are evident since they discover deficiencies in performances not based in facts - but dreamed up by delusions and lies.    What I write is factual - what they write is hatred following prejudice and the fear that members  show up their favourites as deficient.

I have yet to see a single posting of the Trooth Fairy which is not a response to exposure of deficiencies in performance by one of his/her favourite players and a response of a personal attack kind on the poster who dares comments on such deficiencies,  Never ever  a comment on rugby as a game ever.

Wake up fool - the game of rugby is an interesting discussion issue from a fan perspective - the fact that you never really comment on any rugby-rel ated issues - but on personal attacks - makes you a total ignoramus.

I do not use dumb measures like you and that fool Mozart and his other dolt ass creepers do.  A player can do extremely well in a losing game and f#ck up royally in a winning game.   Morne is more noted for the latter and unknown for the former.
