Jantjies might also be a MOM contender but IMO DdA walks it hands down!

'What a break from Allende' says the thick commentator, when the guy was literally unmarked.

These Highlanders are not very impressive Aaron Smith was brilliant, Naholo dangerous and their front row was superior....not much else.

When we play Ntubeni we lose out at scrum time. Give us a Ma rx and spot the difference.

Pretty good display.Oh to have had Eben, Shickerling Bongi in the mix. Kolishi injured and so was Steph.

Beeno

Wiese is in a different category from Etzebeth.   He came to the fore in the Crusaders-Stormers game last year - when he was playing as blindside flank for the Stormers and even the NZ scribes was amazed about his massive work rate.  Despite the loss by the Stormers the NZ adjudicators made him the MOM in that game = which says a lot.

This year a problem developed for the Stormers - Etzebeth was more out with injury and when he did not play they had a major problem at 4,  They tried a lot of options and the end result was always that the Tight 5 was weakened.   In the end they moved Wiese to no 4 lock.   He yet has to have a poor game in the number 4 position - the same cannot be said of Etzebeth.   When he did play this year his work rate was low and he was not really effective,

I have always been an admirer of Etzebeth and still is,   However, there seems to be a new player emerging in the case of Wiese nd that player looks more and more like a new Bakkies Botha - but in his case a Bakkies Botha with a rugby brain.   What I am saying is that Etzebeth must be careful - Wiese is a real threat to his place in teams.
