Strauss for captain?

Sure he has experience and is a decent player but i have doubts about him and and aside from the fact that he is not playing well and hasn't done all season I have further reservations. An incident occured in today's game where Joubert warned Strauss that the penalty count was too high and that he was going to card somebody. Strauss asked if time would be stopped so that he could have a chat. After time was started again the Bulls conceded three penalties in 60 seconds. The last of which was a push on Faf by an agitated Bulls forward who was in a totally off-side position. How much respect does Strauss get from his players? Under Akkerman and Whiteley this kind of thing never seems to happen. So aside from Strauss being in very poor form and not really deserving a starting spot against Ireland, I doubt his leadership skills too. Whiteley seems the best option, especially considering Coetzee will be looking for a fresh start of sorts. But then the Lions are making a lot of their opposition seem dubious lately.
