Hi the ou maaaikie you are certainly chomping at the bit to see who will play for the Mighty Stormers. Man I still cant believe how many guys are out injured and the season hasnt yet begun. As for the exodus of players well these second and third string SA sides will have to do the job for us.

I think it's going to be a long hard season for the Cheetahs.
Must say, I'm also surprised to see Boom Prinsloo on the bench. I have Willie Britz and Coenie Oosthuizen in my Foxsport Fantasy squad so I'm glad to see them both starting.

After being raided by other SA Frachises and foreign  clubs - the poor buggers must start building up a new team.   Easy meat for opponents I am afraid.

Strange to see Stokkies not make the Lions 13 spot and it's madness having useless Cronje ahead of Faf at 9
v/d Spuy at 12 for Cheetahs is pretty average forcing Frans Venter to play out of position at 13. I thought Sadie was meant to be back for the Cheetahs or am I mistaken?

Not sure about Sadie - he is in their squad - but not playing this weekend.
I think the BEE situation has a hand in the selections made by Ackerman - bad mistake not starting with Hanekom.

Everything is possible - but the Canes has a reputation of not being good travelers.  They have to play in Johannesburg and elevation above sea level is a factor there.
There forwards may find it very hard to manage in that game.  That is one of the strong points of the Lions.
Rather say a 50:50 chance - hard to predict.

Good to see Arno Botha starting. Sad to see old man Matfield selected.

Big pity young Liebenberg, the promising 19 year old 8 losing out to Spies on the bench.

Hougaard on the wing is a stupid move. I can understand wanting Hougaard and v/Zyl on the field but it would have made more sense having impressive Jessie Kriel on the wing with Hougaard at 9.

Baby Bok v/d Westhuizen would have been a far better bet than useless Werner Kruger at 3

 The situation is as follows:-
*   None of the Aussie conference has made any team announcements.   Three of their teams are plying on Friday and the other two teams on Sunday.   It is really a poor show on the part of their coaches - but the Force has indicated they are going to announce their team on Thursday - likely some time tonight SA time.
*   Both the Chiefs and Blues are playing on Saturday and their team announcement is likely to announce their teams on Thursday - likely some time tonight SA time.
*   The Stormers and Sharks indicated their team announcements will be made tomorrow -  Leaving it very late for our New Zealand friends to finalize their fantasy teams.
However, I keep om tracking their web-sites - to make sure that all the teams are in in time.

Oh my goodness, Williams ahead of Esterhuizen.......old Gary and co are not starting well are they. That is a pretty average centre combination for the Sharks

It should have been 12. Esterhuizen 13. Tyler Fisher....wake up Gary and Venter.

There appears to be a clear political slant to the selection of the SA sides
