Still early days but the table probably looks nothing like what the experts predicted it would after round 6.
The Hammet-less Hurricanes are the bench mark team so far with no losses.
The Bunnies are still the same solid team that Jake left behind
The Stormers backs lack of weight got exposed against the bigger Chiefs, but they did not get attacking opportunity of their own to even things up. Not all the teams have backs as big as the Chiefs, and as skilled.
The Crusaders put in the performance of the weekend and the old firm combinations including Carter starting to get their seasons underway. Their season depends allot on Carter staying fit. Colin Slade is no where near his standard.
The Sharks have crept up to 5th place. They should get better as the season goes on. Frans Steyn needs to cut out the spear tackles, but is looking better than he has in years. They could be a dark horse in the tournament.
The Blues, Red are just totally useless and further review of their season thus far is not warranted.

The following two games in Round 5 will have a serious impact on the log standings - both games are away games for the Stormers and the Crusaders.
The Bulls at Ellis Park is a big challenge for the Crusaders - who have had serious problems in the past at Loftus Versfeld. Travelling and altitude will ahve an impact and I expect a stronger display from the Bulls than yesterday and hope the useless idiot Ludeke will get his selections right next timer around. Picking Matfield, Spies and Stegman would be the end of the series for the Bulls. He should forget about teh apssengers and pick Labuscgane at 6, Botha at 7 and Liebenberg at 8 - and pick a decent lock instead of Ouma Victoria Matfield.
In the case of the Stormers - a blesing would be if the clueless Coetzee picks Leyds at full back - Kotze and Van Wyk on the wing and and find a reasonable outside center. Fekitoa played the fool with the useless De Jongh last year and there will be a repeat if De Jongh is in the team this coming weekend.
Matter of fact - my selection foi a backline against the Highlanders will be as follows:-
15 Leyds14 Kotze13 Van Wyk12 De Allende11 Jones10 Catrakillis 9 Groom
The Highkanders main problem will be the crumbling of their scrumming and the return of Etzebeth at lock - the likely lock combination will be Etzebeth and Botha. If the village idiot can get the right backline combination - everything will go in the favour of the Stormers.
