 I agree in essence about the article and I mentioned  Damian McKenzie as the outstanding player of the Chiefs before.   To my mind he was the only player in the game between the Chiefs and the Crusaders who showed some talent - the rest was bog ordinary.
However, it is very early to single out teams because the opposing teams some of them faced were so poor.   The worst team this past weekend - who disgraced themselves thoroughly was the Hurricanes.  The Kings showed some guts - but nobody would ever rate them as strong enough to be in the competition and the same can be said of the Sunwolves.  
The Jaguares coach said after the game they did not realize how fast the games in  Super Rugby are and they will have to adjust their game plan drastically to fit into the process.   However, Bloemfontein is a hard nut to crack and many teams get unstuck when they have to play there.   
I think over the next two to three weeks the pretenders and the real deals will be sorting themselves out.   The upcoming game between the Waratahs and Brumbioes will largely determine the strength of these two teams.   The other interesting game this week will be between the Chiefs and the Lions.  If the Chiefs does not beat the Lions - and they should since they have home town advantage - they can be ruled out as title contenders.   Lets face facts - the Crusaders-Chiefs game this past weekend was a mess and the better of the two teams won in a poor quality game.
The other game where sorting out will be possible is the one between the Sharks and the Jaguares.   Also interesting in view of the fact that the Jaguares struggled against the lowly-rated Cheetahs and the Sharks played the Kings.   
The NZ Herald talk about outstanding 20 year olds and they surely have a reason to write about them - but I think the NZ and SA Franchises are bring through a number of younger players that would be greats of the future.  For imnstance - the fact that the two Du Preez brothers- the one a 21 year old and the other twenty years old were the MOM's in the two games they played in for different franchises showed a lot of real talent coming through.  Their father was a Springbok scrummie - sop where their size came from is difficult to determine.
The younger Du Preez twin brother played at no 8 for the Sharks as well.   So three brothers playing in Super Rugby in the same round is very limited.   The Whitelocks may have that distinction for he Crusaders, but I cannot think they did as 21 and 20 years olds.
I was a horrible mess in team selection for Foxsport this weekend - the worst I ever did.   I made horrible mistakes and the worst was having three players of the Hurricanes in my squad.   I also went for Nadolo of the Crusaders and he was poor as well.   
I don't know how to recover from that ordeal - but will have to deal with that issue over the next couple of weeks.   
Incidentally I took part in the Superbru predictor game and predicted 10 of the winners - the only game I got unstuck in was the Hurricanes where I predicted a win by the Huricanes.   Unless they play against the Sunwolves I would not predict a win for them against any team in the tournament.   

 Muke, Robert senior wasn't actually  one of the smallest 9's...but my fater was 5'9"...the tallest of his siblings . I'm 6'2"  and my brother is 6'3"...It happens.
