The All Blacks have been unbeaten for 14 tests, meaning that two more test wins will give the current team better records set by recent All Black sides, who have won 15 straight twice since 2005.

PASS IT ON

15 The All Blacks in 2005 had just beaten the British and Irish Lions 3-0, but tripped up against the Springboks in Cape Town in the first test of that year's Tri-Nations, although the following week they defeated the Wallabies 30-13 in Sydney, which started a run of 15 straight test wins.

A one-point loss to the Springboks in Rustenburg in the final match of the 2006 Tri-Nations broke that streak.

Four years later the All Blacks were coming off a 0-3 loss against the Springboks, and made a statement in their next test when beating the Wallabies 33-6 in Wellington.

That started another unbeaten run, but it would be the Australians who would end that streak, defeating the All Blacks 26-24 in Hong Kong.

The current record for consecutive test wins has been set by Lithuania, beating Serbia 77-5 to record an 18th consecutive test victory and surpass the previous record in the men's Game held by New Zealand and South Africa.

The All Blacks had set the record of 17 consecutive test matches between 18 September 1965 and 6 June 1969, a sequence ended with a 17-6 loss to South Africa in Pretoria in July 1970, and over two decades later the Springboks, then world champions after their success at RWC 1995, equalled this run between 23 August 1997 and 29 November 1998 with England's 13-7 win at Twickenham a week later denying them the record.

The current All Blacks under Richie McCaw (they were under his command for the last streak and towards the end of the run before that) have won 14, and wins in Argentina and South Africa will allow them to break the records set by their recent counterparts.

Victory in Brisbane for the third Bledisloe Cup test, and against Scotland and Italy at the beginning of their end of year tour would give them a new world record.

Previous All Blacks teams were unable to win World Cups, something the core of this side has achieved, and if they were to surpass the feats of Lithuania, with a population similar to New Zealand, then it would be a significant contribution to the legacy that the likes of Richie McCaw and others dearly wish to add to.

South Africa have the record, it is 17 straight victories without loss. I remember when South Africa lost to the Pommies all the Pommies screaming and swearing that we can the the record and f off etc.

Although, we will not let the AllBlacks win. They must be put down the the next test in Soccer city. Their forwards should be powerder puff at home considering what we done to them in New Zealand

Yawn, another hopeful posting. And yeah the Bok forwards absolutely were so dominant it paved the way for the Bok win in Dunedin last week...in that other alternate universe that Sharkie and co occupy.

Polyboy, the All Blacks are so scared of the Bok Forward physical superiority- that they used Sellotape on Dan Carter to stop his leg falling off. They are rushing him back from injury in desperation.

He is their only hope behind a losing pack. The All Blacks are in for some beating

Yes Sharkbok, AB's so scared they even won the game and are, 4 from 4  .You gotta new spin on how a "dominant" pack can't win a game?  And as for Carter, the Boks wish they produced players anywhere near his caliber, even nobbled he is poles apart from anything the Boks can produce, Goosen isn't even good enough to polish his boots, and lets not get started on Morne.
Oh I know this is a Rugby forum, but was sad to have heard that boxer Corrie Sanders has recently passed away. Always remember his 2 round demolition of the younger Klitcko brother, a magnificant moment. Being a South African he must have played rugby at some stage. RIP Corrie Sanders

My posts have been deleted due to extreme profanity. I love the Springboks and I apologise for being sheepish.

@sharbok,

ive never thought of the Boks as easy beats, even with the mob that meyer picked for the NZ/OZ leg of the IRC, but IMO the All Blacks should be favourites in the soccer city test. All Blacks are simply a more complete team who the Boks despite having enough advantage to beat them, couldnt even walk away with from dunefin with a bonus point.

and errrrrrrr have u actually seen the weight advantage that the Boks have??? cos while it wss heavier, it showed on the field on a fitness level more then it did a physical level. i remember beast, vermeulen, strauss and alberts all sucking up big gulps of air before 40 min mark, not good IMO.

If the All Blacks finally play a game where their passes actually stick, ph3eeeeeeew, its going go be one besutiful display of rugby,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,or at least it will be if ur a kiwi, :o)

GO ALL BLACKS!!!
