Four Springboks were particularly pleasing for coach Rassie Erasmus after the 66-7 win over Canada in Kobe on Tuesday. While addressing reporters after the game which sealed South Africa's spot in the quarter-finals, Erasmus said he was pleased with efforts of scrumhalf Cobus Reinach, lock RG Snyman, centre Frans Steyn and captain and flank Siya Kolisi. Reinach was the star of the show after scoring the fastest hat-trick in World Cup history. It came inside 20 minutes and beat Australia fullback Chris Latham's feat after 25 minutes in a 142-0 thrashing of Namibia during the 2003 World Cup. "Everybody knows he has the X-factor - I knew his dad (the late former Springbok wing Jaco Reinach) well," Erasmus said as quoted by Netwerk24. "He's got exceptional speed, he hasn't had a lot of game time with us since I've been coach, but he's got good speed and anticipation." Snyman was the official man-of-the-match after a barnstorming performance. "He was phenomenal. He was always looking for an opportunity to offload in contact. At times, he also just ran hard. He had very good balance in his game. He was fantastic. That's the reason why he's always in our 23-man squad," said Erasmus. Steyn played a full 80 minutes in midfield, the last 20 of those at outside centre after Handre Pollard went to inside centre having replaced Damian de Allende. "I'm very pleased how he handled the intensity and tempo of Test rugby tonight. We always knew Frans had the talent, competitiveness and desire to play.” As was the case against Italy last Friday, Kolisi also played a full 80 minutes and looks to have fully recovered from the knee injury that threatened to keep him out of the World Cup earlier this year. "Another positive was to see Siya play the quality of rugby that I know he can," Erasmus added. The Boks now have an extended break before the quarter-finals weekend of October 19 and 20. They will face either Japan, Ireland or Scotland in the last eight. ............... Gosh Rassie missed the totally professional performance of Louw....still he spotted Frans' contributions, augurs well for Frans at 12. We need some gravitas.

Frans Steyn should be our backline captain. He should start at 12. We'll be so much better off with his allround silky skill set.

I wasn't impressed by the scrummies. Whenever Canada put some pressure on your ball your phases turned to shit. Reinach long kicks were good though. He was caught out away from the base a few times which is wierd because he is supposed to be so fast. I don't remember Kolisi doing anyting but a couple of runs along the touchline in the second 40. RG was a class act all way through. The only elite tier locking tie Bokkies ranks. Steyn and DDA were better in those positions. Again it was all about the Bok pack and that Canada couldn't get phases going most of the game. Their body position at the breakdown was crap and very inaccurate. You'd think Kolisi would have been winning some ball then but he didn't. Kwagga was supposed to be thr best loose forward in South Africa this year but looked pretty average.

Frans was as boring as ever. Rassie said nothing of his performance other than him getting through 80 min of intensity and having the desire. It was against Canada!!! Fact is Frans has done nothing of note since his recall other than be exposed by the Argie 12 for being slow and lacking agility. There is no chance in hell the old man will start at 12, but unfortunately Rassie has convinced himself that Frans is the man for the bench

Apart from Pollard no he has been the best 12. Not the powerful man that he once was but much much more threatening. Steyn would have got a pass away on that wide attack against New Zealand. You guys would have won.

It's get serious time, Dud Allende and partner have had an extensive run with little or nothing to show, the Boks can't play fiddlesticks forever it is after all the WC, Frans has to start.

How many times have useless England beaten us in their last 15 outings and how many series victories have you had over us? You should worry about your own crap side, our bunnies instead of boring us with your ignorant comments on our world class players

We beat you 3 of the last 5 scoring something like 11/12 tries in the process in that five test span... against your "world class" defence!

I'll worry about polishing up that trophy, you worry about the political fall out after this world cup. hahahaha!! Here's a carrot little bunny. You oughta eat this one though!

If you pick Dud.....we have 44 tests that say he will not contribute. Hell Dud has scored 5 tries in 44 tests!. What centre scores a try every10 games! Nope Frans adds a purpose beyond fruitless....deadhead....tractoring. Put Allende at 13 or put Willemse there.

"You used that line already."

I'm glad not to be the only one who noticed.

It goes like this...

You ignorant prick.

You're as thick as pigshit.

You're fucking ignorant.

Shut up you ignorant prick.

Shut up you fucking ignorant prick.

I have no idea whether pigshit is thick so I won't argue with Fatboy on that one, given that he has a number of pigs on his hobby farm not including himself I just have to trust his word. The only thing I'd question is whether it's his own pigshit he's referring to?

Frans has done nothing with ball in hand, has been a liability in defence and has kicked poorly He has been absolutely useless de Allende has been bloody good this WC especially his last 2 outings He will definitely start at 12 with Am at 13 Frans will warm the bench and hopefully post WC we will never see him involved with the Boks again

Nah Willemse is you next 10. Battle between Am and Damianat 13 but we havent seen Damian against strong teams from 13 unless I am missing something?? I think a good ball playing 13 would have got some more tries going against Canada. Maybe Gelant?? He not so good with the boot but is one heck of a runner. I think he could be something, but I woulda tried that BEFORE the world cup.

'Bloody good'.....define bloody good.....name one try he created. The man is a dead head. We have been through all these iterations before.....Dud the offloader, Dud the fetcher, Dud the tactical kicker. It's the last thing the coach whispers in his ear before the game.....it never lasts. Perhaps they should whisper Dud the try scorer, that way he might get that scoring tries isa normal part of a 12's duty. The man is as thick as a plank.....and after 44 flaccid tests it's time to move on.

The last 15 tests proves nothing little bitch. That goes back to two thousand and fucking seven!! That's over a decade ago. A lot of shit has happened since then you ignorant prick (hahaha!). Who won the most of the last five?? That's keeping up with recent events, not judging the work of five England coaches. But thats typical of blowhard Bokkies, loooking wayy off into the past to find some pride like the mythical winning record over New Zealand!! Hahahaahhehehehe!

It's our time. We own you NOW, not in another era. NOW. You cant fucking deal with it and that makes me feel reeeel good.

Fatboy, about "as I keep saying"......as we keep saying ..Willie has been out of form for almost 3 years. Even your tjommie Kooosie said so.....but even ignoring that, why has that fact gone unnoticed by a know all like you?

No need to answer......you' re just a pretender, part of the reason why our rugby is what it is.
