Springboks:

  1. Kitshoff (6.0)
  2. Mbonambi (6.0)
  3. Malherbe (5.0)
  4. Etzebeth (6.0)
  5. De Jager (4.5)
  6. Kolisi (3.0)
  7. Mostert (6.0 )
  8. Thor (8.5)
  9. De Klerk (5.0)
  10. Pollard (5.5)
  11. Mapimpi (4.0)
  12. De Allende (2.0)
  13. Am (4.5)
  14. Nkosi (3.0)
  15. Le Roux (6.5)

What a game. Damian was dragged back several metres at least three times. He had no answer on defence as he simply isn't strong enough to play 12. He was never a powerback, isn't a powerback, and will never be a powerback. He is a slow wing with no skills like Engelbrecht. He has never been skillful. A forward pass to Kolisi not picked up and was nowhere as a carrier. The Boks were, yet again, dominated on the gainline. Our ruck defence is bad and has been bad all year. Kolisi, did he even contributed once positively? Lood caught some lineouts but had some handling issues. Was lost at sea on defence and nowhere carrying the ball. Nkosi was the same hopeless defender as he has always been, Mapimpi was very patchy, sorry to say. Likewise Am was a mixed bag, tending towards mostly bad. Pollard was emphatically out classed by Cooper. Wow. Pollard is deteriorating at an alarming rate.
Lots of belly flopping at scrum time by Malherbe and at least once by Koch. Where was the red for Kolisi? Where was a penalty to Lood for grabbing a Wallaby by the kneck and forcing him to ground? Lots of very favourable penalties again. Will Josè, the keeper of the game, release a video for that?
Only useful Boks: Thor, Etzebeth, Marx, Mostert, Willie, Mbonambi, Kits, Kwagga, Wiese, Nche. Without the maul and a glut of lopsided penalties the Boks have absolutely nothing. A few efforts at laboured long passes behind 3 and 4 man pods, basically doing everything they usually do, but trying to extend it with out and hope for space. The Boks crabbed and looked absolutely bereft of any thought ball in hand. Everything came down to kick of some sort.
This is supposed to be the worst Wallaby side in 47 years. Anything less than a 40 point win was supposed to be failure.

The Malherbe belly flopping which seemed fixed at the WC has been evident through many of this year’s tests. Hard to tell who is at fault, but does any other prop do these massive belly flops….the refs have been kind.

At times it is hard to call, but when you see Malherbe buckle first, with knees to the ground, or just implode and hit the deck, it's pretty obvious. This one blind spot by the refs saved the Lions series as far as I am concerned.

I'm just so dishearted to see Pollard and Willie playing so far below their level of talent. The Boks aren't merely playing boring rugby, they are a very sad sight to any real supporter.

Pollard is the best natural attacking flyhalf we've had in over a decade. We were begging for someone like him. And now that we have him, he's been reduced to an up and under machine by the current establishment.

Gosh we’re a fickle bunch. A loss by 2 points against a wounded and under pressure Aussie side that obviously did tons of soul searching since their loss to the ABs and suddenly we are the worst team in WR. Cumon chaps. We spent years complaining about the coaches that came before. Then we lose a close game and so many of us can’t wait to jump on the basher wagon. Zoom out a bit. If anything, a humbling is always a good thing. Maybe you have no faith in Rassie but at some point you have to accept that it’s ver unlikely that anybody else could have done better. Because better would mean winning more than a WC, RC and LT.

Yes, this should be a wake up call and may actually help us against the All Blacks.

Josè is a terrible coach. We had better before him and could have had better in Ackermann. At no point has Josè ever been held accountable for anything. Very, very mediocre. I haven't seen the Boks play worse since the away test in Dunedin in 2002.

Presently, in terms of SA coaches, I think only Akkerman or White MIGHT do a better job.
But then we'll have people saying that Akkerman is nothing without Swys and Jake White is a has-been that needed Eddie Jones.
So logically, you have to go back to the coach's record.
...but even that isn't enough, seemingly.
Begs the question...What is enough?
For me, I don't care who you are or how you do it.
Silverware is all that matters.

Losing a match is not something to celebrate ... especially if you come away with nothing learnt.

Select on merit ... appoint a professional coach ... not some administrator who's life dream is to coach rugby.

What good is a clown on the roof flashing lights ... or a waterboy undermining the coach?

Stop looking for excuses. Face the facts for once. There's a lot of rot to cut away and until you do, nothing is going to change.
