The Hurricanes Hype - can they win Super 15

It is often hard to win the games where the opposition is so lowly ranked. Good teams do win such games. We will see how good they are as the season progresses.  

 ...not so clever mike, of course the litmus test for the Canes will be when they play the Mighty Chiefs...looks like the Canes forward pack are pretty good earners if not the most productive from a Fantasy perspective as well as you well know...but 4 wins out of 4 is not too shabby a statistic you'll have to concede..

Not only will they come up against the Chiefs - but a majority number of other teams with far better credentials than the teams they met with to date.   Four out of four is OK - but only one of the four was a convincing win, two was average and in one case they had the luck of a pox doctor. 
Even though they play attractive running  rugby I am not convinced they have the forwards to beat stronger forward combinations.    
As to the Chiefs - we will see tomorrow whether they can take the heat.   After a rather unconvincing win against the Blues - they beat the worst side the Crusaders put together in years convincingly and then ended up losing against the Highlanders.  Early in the season - but they are likely to come short against the Stormers this Round.  They have been bad travellers to SA in the past and a situation that is unlikely to change.      

 Not too sure Mike, they are one of a few teams that knows how to breach the Stormers defence. We struggle with defence as soon Ctuds starts kicking those cross kicks and grabbers of his. Ad their robust defence and attack around the rucks and the Stormers may have a hard day at the office. Not to mention SBW. It's gonna be close. Hope my team pulls through though. GO STORMERS!!!!

In 2013 the Chiefs came to Cape Town and lost the game - despite having on paper a much better team - matter of fact a better team that the present one.   Last year they played the Cheetahs and Bulls on tour and drew both games.   That is why I say they are not good enough in SA conditions.  
There is a lot of hype about the team and especially about S-B Williams.   He no doubt is a world class player - but he is also a player that can fail his team and his defense is  not water-tight.   You just have to look at the game last week to see the latter problem.  
I think that the Chiefs may not get enough clean ball to play with and that if Cruden is put under pressure - he is bound to lose it and become a liability rather than an asset. I have seen that he does brilliant things in one game and in the same game lose it completely.   If he is under pressure tomorrow he is going to be a liability for the Chiefs.   
I am much more worried about player like Bryce Heem and Lowe -  as well as Damian McKenzie than anyone else of the Chiefs team.    

The Limtus test will be when they play a good pack in form. The Sharks bullied them all over the show last year, and I would expect much the same from the Stormers .

 Good pack. Sorry Sharkbok but Rhodes, Elstadt, Burger, Etzebeth, Kebble and Bongi are missing. This is NOT a strong physical pack although set pieces should be fine.
Backline could also struggle.

Chiefs however tend to get very nervous coming here so who knows.

Stormers have to be the favorites, there fans have nothing to worry about

 With a full strength Mighty Stormers pack the wee chiefies would be in for a sound drubbing. Now its more interesting as they do have a chance.

Good to hear a more confident voice from my friend Beeno but is he being set up for a heavy fall? 
Some might conclude Beeno is used to disappointment when you look at the boks vs. ABs (RWC winners) & the tough years the stormers have had recently.
