Twit One, that's actually one of your better efforts and shows you're not the rugby noob you often make yourself out to be.
Keep it up!

Well, although the Lions are playing positive rugby, they've won nothing yet on INTERNATIONAL level in more than 2 decades, so it's kind of an unsubstantiated statement Seb. Let's hope its a prophetic one though.

a) How long has Akkerman been coach?
3 Years. So what does the 20 year figure have to do with anything in terms of SEb's statement? Nothing, that's what.
b) Is three years enough time to take a team of nobodies to winning the toughest international club rugby competition in the world?
Simply, NO!
c) Is the OP's statement unsubstantiated?
Again, NO! It's obvious that he is referring to the style that the team are playing. A style which is supposedly not possible for SA teams. My guess is that he is also referring to the obvious great team spirit that they have going on at the Lions. The things that have been achieved under Johan Akkerman's guidance - Hence his call for him to be the national coach.
Absolutely nothing about his statement is unsubstantiated, not even a tiny bit.
d) Is your comment substantiated/sensible?
No, it makes no sense and while appearing to be on the topic is actually pretty far off the mark and rather unrelated.
Just saying something for the sake of saying something.

fantastic rugby being played by the lions, more attacking rugby coming from them then the cumulative effort of every SA club ever.
i normally hate seeing NZ teams lose to non NZ teams, but i didnt mind the lions beating the cheifs, cos it was such a breath of fresh air to see a south african rugby team not only play an attractive brand of attacking rugby, but strive to do so over and over again.
ackerman is the man for the Boks coaching position given the dire circumstances that the Boks are currently in, but ideally it would have been nice to let ackerman become a seasoned veteran in super rugby, and see if he can bring home the super rugby trophy.
