The proposed merger of Stade Francais and Rachng Metro cancelled

According to commentators the deal was an "interesting proposition" according to the two gentlemen concerned.   It seems though that the cancellation of the deal would cause serious financial problems for Stade Francais who was hoping to get out of the twang through the merger.
Morne and Fat Willem must have been praying for days - and their prayers have MAYBE been answered.

It is going to be a sad day for you when Morne Steyn and Willem Alberts eventually retires, not so? All you would have left to talk about is your little fantasy games.

 The player strike apparently influenced the decision - but I have a feeling this is not the end of the story.   Wait till the end of Top 14 and the European Cup seasons and the pot will start boiling again.   In the off season the arrangement will most likely be finalized.
