Perhaps it won't be long now before the Boks come crashing down..............

You sound bitter, wishing the Boks to crash and burn. No-one is wishing the AB's failure, I believe everyone on this site would love to see them come good. And what's happened to the ABs is not unusual for a dominant national team, it happens in all sport, West Indies cricket, Ozzie cricket for examples.

I coined the term "dominance hangover".

The party was so good and the highs so high that when you try to speak realistically, the partygoers think you're trying to bring them down or insulting them.

It'll still be a good few years before the dominance hangover is truly over.

The firing of Razor was peak dominance hangover. A failure to accept that the player depth and selection criteria is what it is and you simply can't expect to beat everyone all the time.

Instead of taking their licks, realising where they currently are and supporting an obviously brilliant coach, they chucked him under the bus very unceremoniously and now expect Rennie will get new blood out of the same players.

It's the same pattern all these dominant teams go through. They dominate, the excellent players retire, the coach leaves but the fans and administrators now believe they have the right to continue to be as dominant. The new coach can't deliver that, he gets sacked. The next new coach can't deliver that either, and he gets sacked quickly too. Nobody is given time to build or an extended period of faith. More sackings. Eventually the truth of the matter is accepted and the road to recovery begins. I think the ABs are still trending down for the moment.

No need to worry, Black and Red—the Abs will be back. When exactly is anyone’s guess, but what goes up must come down, and what goes down must come up—and I’m not just talking about the stock market. On the bright side, they’ve stuck to their style of play; all they’re missing is the right personnel. And let’s not forget, despite their challenges, they’re still competitive and holding a pretty respectable ranking.

They'll be back sooner rather than later

lost the WCfinal by one point playing with 14 men nogal losing their captain.

Mike, you are right, money is also a big problem. SANZAR had a really nice broadcast deal and the money was flowing freely and the stadiums were full, but after over complicating the competition and becoming very greedy and 100% South African economy I standing and the continue BEE to destroy whites at all cost has meat that Super sport has lost its dominant figures that made it an attractive broadcast package. France have really destroyed rugby given that their local league is far more important than International rugby, looking at the amount of international players in that league at the expense of other nations.

As I said, I'm not writing the All Blacks off, just their Aura. Dave Rennie has a fantastic record against SA teams and knows how to outplay the South African style of rugby but he is missing some series locks in the pack, but if I was hime I would just load my backline up with big, powerful Polynesians to run over the likes of Arendse, Kolbe, Horn and so on. These smaller guys don't know how to tackle them at all. It will force Rassie to pick the likes of Moodie and Hooker on the wings to counter this but I might be too late.
