of South African sport once again shows it's true colours, this time in cricket. Burdened with a quota system the team is straddled with non performers like Behardien, Duminy and an under performer in Amla. What's even more of a concern is that nothing will change, the country is obsessed with colour, it's being consumed by the beast and it's dreadful to think that the powers that be would rather see teams lose than forsake a race driven policy. Another concern is that there are no players of colour coming through to replace the abovementioned which obviously means that the state of being will remain unchanged. Give me strength I pray  for this is madness.

Denny De Lange, Rossouw, Morris, Abbott have also been useless. I know the policies exist, but are they making that much difference? What are the options that are being denied?

We spent a bit of time while we were watching the 6 Nations games, speculating who in the Springbok mix would make the NZ starting lineup. Without Carter, perhaps Pollock among the backs, maybe the Beast or Kitshoff, maybe Vermeulen, maybe Etzebeth. Maybe no one! That's the state of our young talent, non existent. I don't believe in the long history of Bok/AB contests one could say that.

The state of our young talent is not as non-existent as you claim.  The problem is that we are that from a rugby perspective with De Villiers and especially Meyer we were stuck in a rut that ended up in defearts against for instance Japan.  The lmost-experienced Springbok team ever showed what their experience meant - most of them were way past their sell-by date.
None of the following woukl in 2015  have made the AB team or even a D-team from that country:-
De Villiers, Pietersen, Du Preez, Pienaar, Burger, Alberts, Matfield, jannie du Plessis  - all heroes you supported based on experience with no regard to actual performance
In stead of development of our rugby it became stagnant or went backwards and you were on this site one of the constant supporters of that going backwards situation.  You refuse to recognise any younger talent and even above you invent a certain Pollock who would have a minor chance to make the AB team.
The fact is that we have had enough younger players to replace the past-it players in the Springbok squad - but Meyer never allowed anyone to settle as a new player and persisted with a totally out-of-date game plan as well.   That is where we sit now.  It is no use to constantly moan about the supposed lack of talent  - it is time to move on and properly utilize and develop the talent we do have.

Given not one of our players would clearly replace their NZ counterpart, and most clearly wouldn't.....running NZ so close in the semis has to be a major coaching success. By the end of this year they will be calling for HMs return.

I don't know how anyone could have their expectations on a high considering how vrot our franchises performed leading into the WC. To get that close to beating the Kiwis was a miracle......full credit goes to HM.

Could it be that the constant mysterious postponement of the decision on the Bok Coach is due to the fact they just cannot find anybody mad enough to take on the job........?
Even Suutjiespoep Coetzee seems reluctant to give it a go.

Eventually they'll pick a desperado wiling to swing with their racist agenda. My new motto is "You cannot have abnormal sport in a normal society"

Given this Boar d as a microcosm, who in their right mind would expose themselves and their families to that kind of abuse.

Meyer was exposed to ridicule because of the fact that he caused problems for himself in his approach to select players on reputation with no regard to performance and his addiction to some of his pals when it came to selection.   He did no team building and he decided on an unworkable game plan that was easily read by opponents.

Given we would have beaten the wee abs barring the matfiled incident which Dr Moz told us the ref got wrong - it seems very wrong to say 'Given not one of our players would clearly replace their NZ counterpart, and most clearly wouldn't."  We have a better front row. Two superior locks by some way. Vermuelen is better than wee bent read. And I would rather have Burger at 7 than anything they had. Reinach  is a much better athlete than aaron smith etc etc.and Pollard is better than anything they have.
The talent we have we shackle and play dumb rugby.Allende would make their backline. Willie under a decent system would thrive. I would say that we could have the whole wee ab back line and play our silly game plan and get nowhere. Its designed to make backline players look less than what they are.
We needs smarts at the top.As for Super rugby our top three sides (Stormers, Bulls and Sharks) don't have top  coaches. Quotas and players going overseas,  central contracting (that could change) and too many provinces all add to the chaos.
Its a situation that would make Trump pull out his hair. Man it must to difficult to stomach the ruining of America by halfwits like obama and indeed the hacks that have gone before - given how we know how it feels to see our rugby and country being driven into the ground by self serving incompetents.

Mozart is suffering from Matfield Disease - a madness that believes that the older the better a player becomes and that beyond Matfield we are doomed to utter rugby disaster. That means we are going to have a member ion site that will criticize any player he does not like for even the most minute error and if there is none - he will invent one and even lies about such an imaginary incident.
Tragic that we find that kind of situation from any one of our members on site.  Instead of looking forward to the future - it is his way of lamenting about the past.

SA Rugby is in serious trouble because of the lunacy of SARU and its complot with the ANC Government to compromise selection of players.  A further problem is the fact that they are even unable to select a coach for the national side - since they want to manipulate the coach selection as well.

This has nothing to do with the players - who ends up on the receiving end of the situation.  In many ways Denny is right about "abnormal rugby in a normal society".
Most of all it has nothing to do with the constant lament of Mozart about the departure of the so-called greats - who by 2015 was anything but great.
It really is time to identify where the problem lies and deal with it.  This is done on this site normally.   Meyer was a problem and so was Ludeke and to hide that is a real disaster.

Zuma's cricket boys at U19 level are also a laugh a minute.
Long may it continue.
