The Springboks in Super 24 last year and the present players

Mozart is always moaning that the departure of the old guard player will have a detrimental impact on SA Rugby and there were various eye-openers today that we are in fact better off than with them.
On the evidence of this round performance is their departure bad for SA Rugby - and the answer is a definite no.   In most cases it will in fact be to the advantage of rugby in SA.  
We have better centers than we had in the past two years.   Even with De Allende injured - we have ample centers showing real talent that could replace the old guard.   The issue of flyhalf was not settled because of the absence of Pollard and Lambie - but Du Preez was a better flyhalf today than Morne Steyn ever was.
As to loosies the case of Alberts is important.  We are still missing Labuschagne - but the Du Preez twins are showing serious promise.  
The lock situation is settled - Matfield is definitely not going to be missed.   Schickerling only had a few minutes game time today - but he already showed that he is top class - better than Matfield was in the past two years.
Then we have Jannie du Plessis and Bismarck.  The performance of the Cheetahs agai nst the virtual national Tight 5 of the Argentinians showed how really pathetic Jannie was in the past two years.  Marx showed today why is a top class hooker and a worthy replacement for Bismarck,
