The Stompies have a new captain . . .

 OK, Rooi, he actually replaced JdV as captain JdJ captained WP...slight difference. Never the less, I think it's a very good move. Thormeulen, thunder-god that he is, will lead the Stormers by example. Mjölnir might not be in his hand when he steps onto the field, but it has been in his heart forever. GO STORMERS!!!!. I've got a feeling it might be our year!

 Hahaha poor old RooiAAS, de Jongh as captain of the Stormer!!! The poor old coot can't remember from one season to the next....AA can help but they can't repair the damage.

Are you one over the eight...my poor dear Rooinek...JDV was always captain...any way Vermeulen is a good choice in replacement for WP...but a little out of kelter for Springboks...a great player obviously but too dogmatic and rough to lead a cho sen side that comes from different dormitories. Will relate to some but not all...Smitty was a good captain and so was JDV because they understood the rough guys and the more cultured (no snobbery intended) but were diversified and better educated...captaincy is a huge task on it's own...a man must understand all men and respect them and be able discern the priviledged and the disadvantaged...this is what strong men are built of.
